Chapter 913
Especially Thalassa, she would be like an island adrift in the vast ocean, utterly alone and unsupported.
Evelyn masked the sourness in her heart with a smile and spoke in a light tone, “That’s true. You all were raised on
the meals | cooked.”
“Absolutely, I want to eat Mom’s cooking for the rest of my life,” Thalassa replied, her smile as sweet as apple pie.
After the meal, Evelyn urged Thalassa to go to work, but Thalassa was dragging her feet. She couldn’t shake off her
worry about leaving Evelyn alone at home, fearing that something might happen again.
Evelyn noticed Thalassa’s concern and reassured her, “Bruce doesn’t know where we live now, and I’ve let go of
what happened yesterday. It’s not like we haven’t been through this sort of thing with him before. I’ll just think of it

moment of foolishness; it won’t happen again.”
Assured by her mother’s words, Thalassa finally set out with peace of mind.
She arrived there to find a familiar Rolls-Royce parked arrogantly in front of the Crawley Group headquarters,
shining under the morning sun.
Who else but Lysander could wield such power and audacity to park so blatantly in front of another company’s
building?
Thalassa paused for a moment, gazing at the luxurious car that almost seemed to command the air around it. Even
though the windows were tinted, allowing visibility from the inside out but not the other way around, Thalassa could
almost feel a deep, piercing gaze fixed on her, the intensity making her breaths careful and measured.
She knew without a doubt who the car was waiting for.
After a brief hesitation, Thalassa approached the vehicle, her hands clasped in front of her, a touch of reserve in
her manner.
As she drew close, the window rolled down revealing Lysander’s handsome face. He extended his arm out of the
window, offering her a manila envelope.
Thalassa, taken aback, stared blankly at the envelope.
“Take it,” Lysander commanded.
Thalassa was momentarily startled, and not daring to delay, she quickly extended her hand and took the envelope
from his hand.
“Move in with your mother this afternoon,” Lysander said, his gaze shifting away from her and signaling the driver,
“Let’s go.”
The car pulled away from Thalassa, gliding over the asphalt and quickly disappearing from view.
Follow on Novᴇl-Onlinᴇ.cᴏmThalassa turned her attention to the envelope, pulling out a contract. A set of keys fell onto the ground.
Surprised, she picked up the keys and opened the contract. It was for the purchase of a house, and the name of the
homeowner was Thalassa!
The address was Star Harbor Villa, a sprawling estate covering 538 square meters, a three-story mansion!
Star Harbor Villa was located in the heart of the city, where the housing prices were sky-high, not to mention for a
villa.
Thalassa glanced at the price, a whopping 348 million!
Was Lysander gifting her this villa?
After their disagreement the night before, she thought the matter was closed and settled without resolution.
But here Lysander had gone and put a villa worth hundreds of millions under her name!
Thalassa was astonished and incredulous, all the more so because it was completely unexpected!
Was Lysander giving her such an expensive house to sever ties with Leopold?
When all was said and done, Leopold remained a thorn in Lysander’s side.
But why? Why should Lysander consider Leopold a thorn? Lysander’s interest in her was purely possessive; he didn’t
love her, so why should he care about her past with Leopold?
