Chapter 925
After a moment of thought, Thalassa decided to give Lysander a call.
She shouldn’t take the fifty million.
The phone rang for a while before being picked up.
Lysander didn’t utter a word, but the heavy silence on the other end was almost palpable, sending a wave of
anxiety through her. “Lysander, I have received the fifty million but I think I should give it back to you,” Thalassa
blurted out, urgency lacing her voice. “The necklace was a gift to you, so it’s yours,” Lysander’s deep, resonant
voice finally broke the silence.
“But…”
Before Thalassa could say another word, the line went dead.
Thalassa pulled the phone away from her ear, staring at the screen, which now displayed the call had ended. She

Since Lysander had said so, she decided to keep it.
Descending the stairs, Thalassa found Evelyn cleaning up after dinner.
“Thalassa, are you going to eat? If not, I’ll start doing the dishes, Evelyn called out upon seeing her coming down.
“I’ll have a little. Your cooking is always too good to pass up,” Thalassa said, a warm smile playing on her lips, her
words sweet as honey.
Evelyn chuckled, “You always know just what to say.”
Pleased, Evelyn piled more food into Thalassa’s plate.
“I mean it; the meals you made are genuinely delicious,” Thalassa added, seated at the dining table, eating heartily.
She wanted Evelyn to feel appreciated and needed; it always lifted her spirits.
“Eat up, then,” Evelyn encouraged.
“Sure. Oh, and I’ll bring the kids over on Saturday. They’ve been asking about you, but they’ve got school this week
and we can’t have them up late and sleepy,” Thalassa suggested.
“That would be lovely, dear. The house is spacious enough now for them to run around. They’ll have fun,” Evelyn
replied with enthusiasm.
“Yeah, the kids will love it,” Thalassa responded, still smiling.
“I can’t wait to see our four little darlings,” Evelyn beamed, anticipation clear in her voice.
“It’s Thursday today, so just a couple of days to go,” Thalassa said.
Friday afternoon, after work, Thalassa made a beeline for the Royal Estates.
The kids would have been home from school earlier than her work release.
When she arrived at the Royal Estates, the children were indeed already there.
“Mommy, Mommy’s back!”
“Mommy, I was about to send Fitch to look for you!”
“Mommy! Hehe, Mommy!”

The four little ones had been tugging at Fitch’s clothes, but the moment they saw Thalassa enter, their eyes
sparkled, and they hurried towards her on their stubby little legs.
Thalassa quickened her pace to meet them halfway.
Upon reaching her, the kids clung to her legs, rubbing their faces against her like little kittens.
Surrounded by her four munchkins, Thalassa felt her heart melt. Their chubby, squishy cheeks nearly set off her
inner girly, alarms.
Patting their heads, she asked, “How about Mommy takes you to Grandma’s? Does that sound good?”
“Yeah, yeah, good!” The kids were ecstatic, their voices in unison.
“Uh, Ms. Everhart, you might want to give Lysander a call,” Fitch interjected, a tad uncomfortable with the idea of
her taking the kids without notice.
Thalassa’s heart tightened, the smile on her face fading slightly as she steadied her breath. “Alright, I’ll call him.”
She wondered if Lysander would agree to let her take the kids to see Evelyn.
