Lin Xiaofei got a whiff of the rusty scent coming from the metal door. It creaked as she tried to push it open, an indication that this place was indeed not to have been used for long and perhaps forgotten already. She wondered what did he husband planned to do with this cell, but she really didn't have the time to go back and wait for him to arrive to question him.

"Another cell?" Yu Fangzhu scoffed. "Did you actually think that transferring me to another cell would deter anyone from finding me? Once they find that I'm being kept inside here, they won't stop until every rock is upturned!"

Lin Xiaofei ignored him as she continued to push the door. Yu Fangzhu might still have that pointless dream of him being saved by someone, but staying in that underground dungeon for a few days now proved that that 'someone' was just an illusion and a far away dream.

'Click!'

Lin Xiaofei's eyes brightened up when she fully pushed the door. The room ahead was as empty as she expected, slightly dusty and dark but it was better than the previous cell which was more spacious than this one before her.

She walked inside, admiring the bare walls stripped of any color and saw the erected cage and stair that leads to the door above that said cage.

"Put him inside this cage." She ordered the henchman who nodded his head and dragged the prince over to the top of the stairs.

While being dragged, Yu Fangzhu turned livid upon seeing his new cell. Despite it having the name of a cell, it was certainly not an ordinary cell like his previous one. At least the previous cell was much like a room if you ignore the several torture tools mounted in the walls behind that red curtain. However, that cell before him right now was located in the ground.

Like a bathtub created in the center of a room, the cell was large and spacious, but it had no windows from each side, the only hope of getting air to breathe and light to see was from the crisscrossing bars above the cell which Lin Xiaofei was now standing on.

Only he could imagine what kind of perverse methods of torture could they put him into once he's held inside that impenetrable cage.

"No! I'm not going in there!" Yu Fangzhu tried to brush the henchman's hands away from him. But the henchman's strength was surprisingly stronger than him and thus, it did nothing despite Yu Fangzhu trying his best to push him away.

"I said I don't want to go in there!" He continued to shout desperately but it did no effect to the other two people inside the room. Or more like, they did have no interest in listening to a royal prince whose fate is in their hands.

Gu Yan still pushed him forward. He didn't care when the prince stumbled and almost fell to the ground on his face. When they reached the opened metal bars, he gladly and forcefully pushed Yu Fangzhu to the square hole before closing it with the similarly metal barred door with the lock.

Turning to the lady standing on the side, Gu Yang finally asked, "What do you plan to do with him?"

With her eyes slightly squinting as her lips formed a smile, Lin Xiaofei replied, "Do you know what is the most painful way to die?"

Gu Yan thought of a lot and various things. Most of them were the quickest way and involved a lot of cutting and slicing some body parts, but it wasn't something he'd consider the most painful way to die. There are some few methods though, but he doubted that it requires the person they want to torture in a cell like tht one below him

In the end, he had to shake his head at her.

Lin Xiaofei raised an amused eyebrow, but she still told him the answer, "Drowning. Do you know that yearly, the empire has about ten thousand or more people who have drowned in different areas and bodies of water? Their bodies ended up bloating so large and turning so blue that once the authorities and guards overlooking the situation saw the person's face, they barely could even swallow a grain of rice for a week."

The Zheng Empire suffers from a yearly disease of scooping up tens of thousands of dead bodies from their own bodies of waters. However, it was never much a problem to the authorities nor has it called upon the monarch's worry. On the contrary, it solved much of their problems since most of the people who were sent down under the water were mostly people who they deemed worthy more dead than alive.

Besides, no one would know if the bodies would turn up into a bloated and unrecognizable creature anyway? No one will be able to tell who's who once they change out of their clothes before they died and point out who really murdered them.

"But what these dead people felt before they died could not be explained. Different from hanging oneself to a joist and getting choked up by covering your nose and lips, drowning and feeling the water fill your body for several minutes that felt like forever would definitely hurt." Lin Xiaofei continued to speak, eyeing the prince below as she said those words and saw the recognizable changes on his face.

Bending one knee and slightly crouching herself to get a closer look to the prince, Lin Xiaofei siad, "What do you think of my methods. Yu Fangzhu? Can I finally be considered as one of the experts in torture now?"

She could remember Yu Fangzhu mockingly saying these same words to her when she was kept as his toy inside that torture room in her past life. It was when she laughed at him for hiding behind his men and let them do things for him. His method was different since he used a cloth to cover her face before pouring down water to her covered face until she couldn't help but inhale the water to breathe.

But it still hurt the same.

Yu Fangzhu glared at her. However, he was quite confused at her intimate behavior towards her. It wasn't the intimate kind which two lovers would use to each other,  but it was the intimate kind where people who knew each other for a long time would use and act to each other.

But he was sure that he had never been involved with Lin Xiaofei more than he could now. So, why did he feel like she knew him so well that he could hide nothing from her?

"If this still doesn't break you, then I have to think of other methods to break you." She said to him while still smiling, "A painless and quick death doesn't suit you and I am afraid the souls that want to drag you down will curse at me if I did that."

She stood up from her previous position and looked at Gu Yan before ordering, "Fill the cell with water. Do not stop until he's almost at the brink of death. And do not let him die."
