Marion stood there, her face turning red.

Marion watched the black Bentley gradually drive away until it disappeared from her sight before snapping back to reality.

Lucas had kissed her right in front of Mr. Benz! Lucas had thick skin! Marion felt the heat rise in her face.

She slapped her cheeks gently as she told herself not to dwell on it.

She had to think about what gift to prepare for Lucas’s uncle’s house that evening. That was her main task!
