“A woman? What woman?” Zachary asked in confusion.

Both Toby and Talia's eyes lit up when they heard that.

Huh? Has that idiot finally learnt how to treat a lady? Is he going to bring a girlfriend home or

something? Looks like our son has finally matured! Those few years in prison were probably worth it,

then.

The two of them had tears of joy in their eyes as they exchanged relieved glances with each other.

Zachary had only made that phone call because Toby asked him to. Noticing that Toby wanted to listen

in on the conversation, he put it on loudspeaker so they could all hear it.

“A pretty one, of course! I'm sure you'll like her!” Dylan's voice came out loud and clear.

Both Toby and Talia could tell from Dylan's unusually affectionate tone and compliment that he really

liked the woman.

“All right. I'll wait for you and the pretty woman, then!” Zachary replied before hanging up the phone.

“S-Should I get prepared to welcome her?” Talia asked excitedly.

“Of course!” Toby tried his best to remain calm and gave it some thought before continuing, “It's the

girl's first time coming over, so we must provide her with the best hospitality possible! Go see if there's

anything we can give her as a present. If there isn't any, we can also offer her a monetary gift instead.”

“I'm on it!” Talia turned around and prepared to go upstairs.

“Wait up!” Toby called out to her.

“You mustn't complain about the girl's appearance, personality, and family background. Got it?” Toby

reminded her. He didn't want to risk having her ruin everything for Dylan.

“I'm okay with it as long as she lives and breathes!” Talia replied with a smile before running up the

stairs.

They weren't all that worried about the girl's appearance as Dylan had always been picky about his

women. In fact, he and Kendrick had slept with countless celebrities before he was locked up to prison.

Displeased with his son's irresponsible behavior, Toby had tried to reform Dylan as best he could.

However, he failed to do so and ended up sending his son to prison instead.

Given everything that had happened, there wasn't much he could do except blame it on Dylan's

misdeeds.

In less than ten minutes, word about Dylan bringing his girlfriend home had spread all over the Musk

residence.

As the elders had all watched Dylan grow up, they were happy that Toby and Talia could finally stop

worrying about him.

It was common for older people to own a few valuable pieces of jewelry, but Talia wasn't sure if a young

woman would like something so old-fashioned.

Six years ago, Dylan had bought her a very pretty diamond necklace. While Talia liked it a lot, she felt

she was too old for such trendy jewelry and didn't dare wear it.

Not wanting it to go to waste, she then decided to keep it as a gift for Dylan's future wife instead.

Since Dylan would be bringing his girlfriend home, Talia figured it would be a perfect chance to give the

diamond necklace away.

“It looks like your days of worrying are finally over, Talia. Dylan must really serious about this girl if he's

bringing her home for us to see!” said one of the relatives.

“Yeah! Dylan has never introduced a girl to us before. Back then, we only see his women on the

entertainment news!” Talia exclaimed with tears in her eyes.

“Who knows? This one might just end up becoming your daughter-in-law! In fact, it's also possible that

she's pregnant with Dylan's child! If that's the case, you can start preparing for their wedding and

expect a grandchild by next year!” said the relative.

The mere thought of that possibility made Talia so happy that she broke into a huge smile on the spot.

As they were really eager to see their potential daughter-in-law, every second that they spent waiting

felt like an hour.

About twenty minutes later, Dylan's Porsche Cayenne could be heard coming through the driveway. He

was driving really fast at the time and nearly ran two of their housekeepers over when he pulled up at

the front door.

Both Toby and Talia were shocked speechless.

What's going on here? Oh, Dylan... Please don't screw this up!

Dylan then got out of the car and carefully covered Avery's face with his suit jacket before carrying her

into the house. Those that were present at the scene could only see her long hair and fair, slender legs.

“Have a doctor come to my room!” Dylan shouted at the two housekeepers that were still in shock.

They nodded profusely in response and quickly called up a doctor.

“What happened?” Toby asked as he came over.

“I-I don't know... H-He said to have a doctor go to his room!” the housekeeper stammered nervously.

“Calm down. I'll go check on him and see what's going on,” Talia reassured him.

Toby chose not to follow her upstairs as he feared he would end up arguing with Dylan again.

While waiting for an update from Talia, some of the relatives began discussing among themselves.

“Hehe... Dylan sure knows how to pick them! I saw how she looked like even with the suit jacket

covering her face. On top of that, she's dressed rather plainly too! She looks completely different from

what I was expecting!” said a young girl who looked like a high school student.

Another equally young girl replied, “Of course! Dylan is incredibly good at choosing the right woman

when he gets serious! He's able to tell if a woman would make a good wife in the future. I just hope he'll

continue to care for her this much after they get married. He'd better not let her down!”

After finishing his glass of juice, Zachary placed the cup down on the table rather heavily.

“What's gotten into you?” Cayden asked with a stern look in his eyes.

“Oh? I didn't know you were still aware of your surroundings! Honestly, I feel bad for Great-grandpa.

Even your cousin has found himself a girlfriend, and you can't even win Ms. Ery over! I hope I don't

inherit your genes that much, or I might end up being single at the age of thirty!” Zachary lectured him

like an adult.

Cayden ignored him as images of Avery's rosy lips and gorgeous face appeared in his head. The mere

thought of her caused him to relax instantly, but he quickly frowned and resisted his urge to desire her.
