“Can you stop causing a scene?”
Avery gathered her courage and stared straight into Cayden's eyes. However, when her timid gaze met
him, she immediately resigned to his steady and beady eyes, placing her in a submissive position.
At that point, she just wanted to ease the tension. Hence, she didn't mind giving in or doing anything so
long he could stop being irrational.
Avery didn't want to wake the kids up. She also worried that her colleagues on the second floor might
hear something they shouldn't. After all, there might be a possibility that they thought she was having
an affair after hearing the noises.
Cayden didn't take off his shirt and pants. Hence, she could feel the metal buckle at his waist pressing
against her stomach when their bodies were close to each other.
That was also the reason why she couldn't ignore his presence.
“Can't you say something nice?” Cayden had been entertaining those leaders the entire day and had
drunk a lot of alcohol. Thus, he was tired. He grabbed Avery's pants and pulled them up for her. He
even pulled down her shirt, worried that the cold breeze might blow on her back.
Since Cayden was in a better mood and had lightened up, Avery thought it was best to remain silent.
After all, didn't people say a drunk person sleeps within seconds? Avery then started to count sheep
and hoped he would be sleeping soon.
However, when she was at the seventy-eighth sheep, Cayden suddenly tightened his hug and
demanded, “Didn't I ask you to say something nice? Why didn't you do so?” He brought up old scores
again though his eyes were shut.
Avery was almost asleep then and was awoken by his alluring low voice. As she opened her eyes
slightly, she saw his straight nose, prominent brow ridge, and a deep furrow between his brows.
It seemed he would not let her off easily until he heard something nice from her.
“I-I don't know what constitutes nice words.” The condition in which Cayden was in at the time was a
Follow on NovᴇlEnglish.nᴇtnew experience for Avery as he hugged her and asked her to say something nice after he got drunk.
This was different from the usual high and mighty aura and tyrant boss facade.
Either way, Avery was happy with the new experience. If he didn't treat her differently, she bet she
wouldn't have the chance to see his down-to-earth side, which was unknown to everyone.
Cayden's eyes were still closed. He pulled her slim waist closer into his embrace with his strong hand.
When she muttered, “Stop it,” he gulped and placed his thin lips on her soft lips.
The small room was particularly quiet. Hence, when Zachary kicked away his blanket, the sound of his
foot hitting the ground was very clear.
Avery wanted to push away the man before her, who was kissing her, but after trying to open her mouth
to speak, Cayden's tongue invaded the deepest part of her mouth and suckled her lips while teasing
her tongue.
Their lips and tongues were tightly entangled with each other, causing the secretion of fluid in the
mouth to increase.
Avery blushed as she listened to the intimate smacking sound of them kissing.
Avery got scared when she noticed that Cayden was getting all excited and might take things further
soon.
The kids are here. I can't allow him to do what he wants.
Does this drunk and crazy man have a clear mind? Does he still remember that his son and daughter
are in this small room?
“Ms. Ery.”
Just then, Rory rolled over and placed her tiny chubby hands on Avery's pajamas.
However, she was not awake. Rory called out to Avery assumably because she remembered that she
was sleeping with her brother and Avery and not sleeping alone in her children's bed in her room
before she dozed off.
Even in their dreams, the kids remembered Avery being by their side.
Cayden took in deep breaths to control his urge. He then flung open his eyes, which were red due to
the intense lust he had. He didn't continue even though he really wanted to as he worried he might
crush the child's hands if he continued to lay on top of Avery.
“Get off me. If you don't want to leave now... You can rest here for a few hours before you leave. When
it is time to go, I will wake you up.”
Avery was panting heavily as well when she spoke.
She was lying flat, and a few of her shirt's buttons were unbuttoned. Whenever she breathed, her
breasts moved accordingly, making her look very seductive.
Rory was sleeping across the bed and had her small chubby hands on Avery's tummy. Luckily, they
had the duvet laid on the floor. So, there were no worries about falling to the ground, unlike sleeping on
the usual bed. Therefore, Avery didn't correct Rory's sleeping position.
Avery gently moved her body. She then noticed Rory's hands that were placed on top of her were now
wrapped around her. Rory even pulled herself into Avery's arms in her sleep.
Avery gently kissed Rory on the cheek and zoned out without any worries and with the child in her
arms as she continued to use the latter as her shield.
Meanwhile, Cayden lay flat on the floor. The room's environment was the worst among all places he
had slept in his life. Slowly, the swollen part underneath his slack pants disappeared as he gradually
dozed off.
Soon, only the lingering scent of intimacy and the man's gradually calm but ragged breathing was
heard in the quiet and tiny room.
When the morning arrived, Rory kept moving her little body in Avery's arms. The child even poked
Avery's ears with her chubby finger and giggled.
Her action woke Avery up. When the latter opened her eyes, she immediately saw her daughter, who
was as lovely as an angel.
She then pulled the little angel closer to her and kissed the latter repeatedly. When they were messing

creased marks on the duvet showed someone had slept on top of it before, though she could no longer
feel any warmth.
“What's wrong, Ms. Ery?” Rory asked with a pout while playing with Avery's hair.
When she heard Rory's voice, Avery retracted her gaze from the tiny room's surroundings. At this point,
there were no other noises except for her and the children's voices.
I bet he left before everyone woke up. After all, he is a mature man who takes everything into
consideration.
After freshening up, she took the kids downstairs for breakfast. Just then, a colleague approached her
and asked, “Are Boss' two children going to stay here today?”
Avery looked at the colleague and answered truthfully, “I'm not sure. It's Monday tomorrow. I think they
need to go to school.”
“So, that means Boss will be coming here today. After all, he needs to take the children back to
Ackleton. I'm envious of you, Avery, for finding a man like Boss' cousin. I would be laughing if Boss
misjudged and fell in love with me in my dreams. Hahaha! I want to marry Boss and be your sister-in-
law.”
Avery smiled awkwardly without giving any comments.
The colleague continued to fantasize about the dream she had. While playing with her phone, she took
a glance at Cayden's two children and said, “Honestly, I don't mind being the stepmother of these two
children. I'm ready to be his wife now. The only thing missing is Boss' misjudgment.”
Avery didn't respond to that. She merely smiled.
Christopher, who was by their side, opened his laptop, clicked on a website after connecting it to the
WiFi, and said calmly, “Boss has been doing business for many years, and he had never misjudged
anything before. I advise you to give up on that.”
When the female colleague wanted to beat Christopher up for his comments, the latter suddenly froze.
He widened his eyes and stared at the latest news on his laptop screen. Then, he turned to look at
Avery, who was doing nothing.
