Avery's arms were full of bruises by now, and there were traces of blood on the corner of her lips.
Meanwhile, the camera on top of the table continued to film whatever was transpiring.
An unconcealable, bone-chilling aura emanated from Cayden.
He sent Dylan to the ground with a firm kick before wrecking the camera.
Then, he dragged Dylan back up from the floor before the latter could even retaliate and threw him against the
wall, causing a loud crashing noise to resonate across the room.
“You dare touch her, Dylan?” Cayden growled in a voice so insidious that it sounded as though he were a demon
straight from the abyss. Even Xavier and Avery couldn't help but shudder as they heard him.
With tears brimming in her eyes, the woman could only hug her knees and cower in one corner like an injured bird.
While having to fight the effects of the drug, she trembled in fear.
Cayden could tell from her unusually flushed cheeks that she had been drugged, but he chose to ignore her for now
instead of taking her away immediately.
He was so infuriated by her foolishness but could do nothing to release his pent-up anger.
To think she got herself into this mess! I'm going to teach her a lesson she'll never forget.
Although he was thinking that, his expression grew darker as he noticed all the marks and bruises on Avery's body.
“I was just about to sleep with my wife, and then you came barging in and starting a fight all of a sudden! What the
hell is going on?” Dylan demanded haughtily despite having busted a lip because of Cayden. “Your cousin-in-law's
going to be miserable for the rest of her life if I end up getting traumatized by this incident!”
Cayden glared at him maliciously.
“It's precisely because of the blood we share that I've been lenient toward you all this while. But you've really

He then began to walk in Dylan's direction like a panther that could jump at its prey at any given moment, causing
the latter to tense up.
Dylan knew all too well that Cayden's gentle and noble demeanor was simply a façade. Deep down, the man was
vicious and shrewd.
Moreover, the latter was a skilled fighter.
There's no way I can beat him. I won't even have a chance to fight back. This b*stard's just too much!
With five broken ribs, Dylan could only remain lying on the carpet. The pain in his chest was so intense that he could
barely even breathe.
“You're going to have our families turn against each other all because of a woman? She's just a woman!” the man
exclaimed as he stared back into Cayden's frigid eyes.
Xavier sighed and shook his head.
You're really asking for it, Mr. Musk. Don't you know how much Ms. Rumpley means to Mr. Moore? You touched the
woman he cares about most, and now you're fanning the flames with your words. Do you have a death wish?
Cayden glanced at his cousin before kneeling down slowly to pick up the broken, half-empty glass. There were
traces of red liquid around the rim, and he took a whiff.
The dangerous scent widened the smirk on his lips.
“Seventh Heaven? One tablet is enough to transform even the most inexperienced woman into a nymphomaniac.
You sure know your stuff, huh, Dylan?”
Dylan sneered in response, completely unafraid of aggravating Cayden further. “If you ever need some tips on
things like these, I'll be more than happy to lend you a hand. I gave Avery a pill, hoping that it'd spice things up.
Seeing the way she looked after she ate the pill got me all excited, but you just had to get in the way before I had
the chance to show her what I was capable of! Just my goddamn luck!”
Suddenly, the man cried out in pain.
It took him only a second to realize that Cayden had stabbed him in the palm with the broken wine glass.
Cayden had used so much force that blood spilled as soon as the glass shards came into contact with his hand.
“Cayden, how dare you!”
The smile playing on Dylan's lips vanished immediately as the pain caused his face to contort, and his eyes were
now swirling with rage.
Avery gasped and shivered at the horrifying sight.
She felt as though her burning body was starting to cool slightly as she witnessed Cayden's cruel act in a state of
disbelief.
He actually stabbed Dylan with the broken glass.
The woman inhaled sharply.
Dylan is his cousin. Now that he's hurt him, Allie's going to start a ruckus. No, the entire Musk family isn't going to
let this go.
It was Avery's first time seeing Cayden behave like this.
Despite his overbearingness, she had always regarded him as a kind gentleman. Now, he was simply cold-blooded
and ruthless.
“You'd better kill me while you can now, Cayden, because if you don't, I'm going to be the one who kills you sooner
Follow on Novᴇl-Onlinᴇ.cᴏmor later! I was the one who liked Avery first, but you just had to ruin everything! It's over between us. We're sworn
enemies from now on!” Dylan roared.
The pain in his palm and on his chest made him sweat profusely, but his words still left a mark on Cayden, who
looked at him frostily.
Dylan continued to put up a brave front despite quivering in pain. Seeing that, Cayden grabbed him by the neck,
wanting to strangle him to death.
His lips curved with disdain. “I'm going to make it loud and clear to you. Avery is mine, and I'll kill you if you dare
touch her ever again,” he enunciated, his icy voice piercing Dylan's ear like a knife. “I'm sure you know what it's like
to be put behind bars since you've already had a taste of it. I could always throw you back in for life. How about
that?”
Right after saying that, Cayden hurled Dylan to the ground like a piece of garbage and picked the shuddering
woman up without even breaking a sweat.
“He's bleeding a lot, Mr. Moore, and those injuries look really severe. Should I call nine-one-one?” Xavier asked
carefully while following his boss from behind.
Dylan was still Cayden's older cousin at the end of the day, and the two shared a blood relationship.
Furthermore, Dylan was the only nephew of Allie whom she adored. If both families were to go against each other,
the woman would definitely wreak havoc on her own son every single day.
It didn't help that Cayden had reduced his cousin to such a miserable state now.
That was why Xavier still had an ounce of sympathy for Dylan although the latter got what he deserved.
Yet, Cayden strode out of the room with Avery in his arms, not sparing Dylan a glance. “No. He can consider himself
lucky if he survives. But if he dies, he dies,” he answered aloofly.
After watching his cousin leave with the woman, Dylan closed his eyes reluctantly.
The ire within him, along with all the injuries he had received, caused him to cough out a mouthful of blood before
he slipped into unconsciousness.
