Chapter 592 You Are Just An Impostor
Just then, Claire and William approached, with the former holding an exquisite jewelry box.
Her eyes turned red as she had been crying for a long time, ever since the moment she received the DNA test
results. She thanked God for enlightening her about her daughter's existence. Thank you for helping me find my
daughter while I'm still alive.
As soon as Evangeline saw them, she warmly took Claire's arm and greeted, “Mom.”
She then turned to William and said, “Dad.”
The way she greeted them was so natural that Claire could not help but wipe the tears of joy off her face. “Oh,
sweetheart...”
William, who was typically serious and rarely expressed his emotions, was visibly moved. Everyone could tell he was
extremely elated tonight.
Evangeline was surprised to learn that she was William's daughter. The news was such an unexpected blessing that
it left her feeling dizzy with disbelief.
She was still in a state of shock and struggling to process the news at that point.
After steadying herself, Claire handed Evangeline a jewelry box. “Here's a gift for you, Eva.”
Evangeline opened the box and saw a stunning South Alendorian diamond necklace.
Having seen the necklace in a jewelry magazine some time ago, she knew it was a limited-edition item with a
staggering price tag. It was so exclusive that not everyone with the money could buy it.
Never in a million years did she expect Claire to give it to her.
“Mom, I-I can't accept this gift. This necklace is too expensive...” Suppressing her desire to own the exquisite
necklace, she gently shoved it back to Claire.
“It's a gift from your mom, so you should keep it. You deserve the best,” Fiona said affectionately while holding

Fiona was pleased that they finally managed to find her long-lost granddaughter, but at the same time, she was a
little dissatisfied with Claire.
Although she acknowledged that Claire was an excellent daughter-in-law in many ways, she could not help but feel
unhappy about how she and William lied to her by telling her that her son was infertile. My son wouldn't have given
birth to Evangeline if he was infertile!
Yet, Claire did not notice the complicated expression on her mother-in-law's face.
Seeing how mindful Evangeline was of her behavior, Claire could not help but feel bad for her. She deserved the
best in the world, but having grown up in poverty, she became timid and lacked self-confidence. It's my fault. It's all
my fault!
Claire took out the necklace and put it around Evangeline's neck. “It looks good on you.”
The stunning necklace adorning her neck sparkled with exquisite luxury. With a shy smile, Evangeline expressed her
gratitude. “Thank you, Mom.”
Claire reminded her, “If you need anything in the future, be sure to tell me. Don't hold back, okay?”
Evangeline hummed in response and nodded her head with excitement.
While everyone rejoiced over Evangeline's reunion with the family, they seemed to have forgotten Nicole, who was
once the beloved golden child.
She stood by the upstairs window, watching as William, Claire, and Evangeline shared an intimate family moment.
She could not help but feel upset, as no one noticed her absence from the celebration in the living hall.
Nicole used to be the darling of William and Claire, but now that their so-called biological daughter had returned,
she felt like she was no longer as important to the family.
That was a terrible feeling.
Evangeline's room had been arranged to resemble a princess' chamber, with a warm and cozy countryside
aesthetic.
Pale pink silk curtains and beautiful wallpaper adorned the walls, while the windowsill was lined with dolls and
stuffed animals that any girl would adore.
Evangeline hopped into the soft bed with a joyful heart, still in disbelief that she was now a daughter of the Lambert
family. She was so thrilled throughout the day that she almost felt lightheaded.
Suddenly, someone opened her room door.
Mistaking the visitor for Claire, Evangeline sprang up from the bed, afraid of being caught looking unkempt. After
straightening up and making sure she was presentable, she realized it was Nicole who had entered her room.
Evangeline put down her guard, sat on the bed, and crossed her legs. She then gave Nicole a condescending look.
“Why are you still awake at this hour?”
Before this, Evangeline had treated her with respect, but after she learned that she was William's adoptive
daughter, her attitude toward Nicole changed drastically. She's just someone they adopted, but I'm the legitimate
daughter of the Lambert family.
She even felt Nicole's existence at this point annoyed her. If she hadn't existed, I would be enjoying all the privileges
that rightfully belong to me.
Nicole strode into the room with a smirk on her face and sneered, “Seems like someone's forgotten their manners
after becoming a Lambert for just one day. You don't even have the decency to say hello to me anymore, huh? Your
opportunistic behavior is truly disappointing.”
Evangeline gave her a disdainful look and frowned. “Can you just leave me alone? I want to rest now.”
She felt Nicole had taken what rightfully belonged to her, so it was impossible for her to show any affection toward
this so-called sister of hers.

latter's bed. “Who do you think you are? How dare you speak to me like this? Do you really think this is your
house?”
Evangeline responded with a smug expression. “Yes, of course. The DNA test results prove that I'm their biological
daughter, unlike someone who's just an adopted child. How pitiful!”
Nicole shot daggers at her and tutted. “Do you truly believe you were born with a silver spoon in your mouth,
Evangeline? You've overestimated yourself!”
“What do you mean?” Evangeline straightened her back, feeling a sense of unease in her chest.
“You want to know what I mean? Why don't you take a look at this DNA report!” With a deadpan expression, Nicole
tossed a document in her direction.
Evangeline reviewed the DNA report and compared her own genetic markers with those of William and Claire.
When she realized she was not biologically related to them, her face paled.
She glared at Nicole and said in a trembling voice, “W-Where did you come up with this fake report?”
Nicole responded with a haughty laugh. “Do you think this report is fake? Listen carefully, this is the real DNA
report! The report they saw earlier was fake! You're just an impostor!”
Evangeline shook her head in disbelief. “I don't believe it. I'm their biological daughter. You're the impostor!”
Nicole stood up. With an impassive look, she showed Evangeline a video of her threatening Felix.
Evangeline was struck dumb after watching the entire video.
That devastating blow almost caused her to crumble!
She began to murmur like someone who had lost her mind, saying, “N-No, how can this happen? It must be a
mistake. T-That must be it. You made a mistake...”
Nicole yanked on Evangeline's hair and stared at her condescendingly. “Look at your face. Do you think you look like
my adoptive parents? Do you really think you're the precious daughter of the prominent Lambert family? Stop
fooling yourself. You're nothing but a nobody, so quit pretending to be someone you're not.”
