Suzanna returned to the secretary's office and saw everyone focusing on their work.

She slapped the table loudly, drawing the attention of the other secretaries before saying exaggeratedly, “Hey, I've

got some juicy gossip for you all. I just saw the acting CEO reprimanding Ms. Summers. She even said that Ms.

Summers' bidding proposal was imperfect. How ridiculous! Everyone in our company is impressed by Ms. Summers'

work capabilities, yet a newbie like her dared to order Ms. Summers around. My goodness, she's putting on such a

show!”

Upon hearing Suzanna, the other two secretaries couldn't help but cover their mouths and giggle secretly.

Only Tina continued to face her computer and work diligently.

One of the secretaries, Avril, yawned and casually took out her powder puff, touching up her makeup. She then

interjected, “Does she really think that she's the CEO just because she's in that seat? Is that a position she can

obtain so easily?”

Suzanna rolled her eyes at Bianca. “Oh, come on! With that fussy demeanor of hers, you think she's capable? You

guys have no idea. There were times when I went to the CEO's office and saw her sitting on Mr. Moore's lap,

showing her skin and seducing him while he was working. Mr. Moore is a reserved man. How could he have fallen

for such a vulgar and scheming woman?”

Then, Suzanna sneakily looked around to make sure no one was coming in. Lowering her voice, she went on, “I

heard that Mr. Moore left ninety percent of his wealth to that woman. Normally, he should have left most of his

wealth to his mother or children, right? What do you think? Could that woman have secretly changed his will?”

“Oh my gosh!” Avril's mouth fell open. “That is too shocking. If she really did change Mr. Moore's will, then she's

incredibly cunning. I can't believe this!”

On the other hand, Bianca seemed a bit skeptical. “I don't think she could have done that. Is it that easy to change

a will? Besides, she's carrying Mr. Moore's child, and she's about to give birth at any moment now.”

Suzanna continued to gossip, “We never know. Maybe Mr. Moore's death is even related to her!”

Tina, who had been silent all along, suddenly rapped her pen heavily on the desk. With a scowl, she reminded the

other secretaries, “We're at work right now. Do you guys have that much free time? I'm sure you all know the

consequences if the acting CEO finds out you're talking about her behind her back. It seems like she assigned you

guys too little work.”

Tina often interacted with Avery. In her opinion, Avery was gentle, polite, understanding, and incredibly easy to get

along with.

She was nothing like the scheming woman they described her to be.

bidding proposal is imperfect.

At ten o'clock, Trident Group's shareholders' meeting officially commenced.

Xavier had already announced Cayden's will to the board of directors in advance; the news of Avery taking over as

Today was Avery's first day in office as the acting CEO, and all the shareholders had come. Everyone had been

waiting in the conference room since early morning.

go home and nurse your child instead!”
