Chapter 402: Entrance

Zaal Estate, Second Guest Hall, 300m in length and 200m in width.

Hundreds of Princes and Princesses along with the geniuses from some of the greatest cultivation clans on the continent gathered in this hall.

Classic ballroom music played in the hall as several couples danced in the center. Most of the others stood in groups of three and four, breaking off and making new groups every few minutes.

All of these youngsters would someday be the leaders of their respective powers so this was the best chance to expand their circles and meet other like-minded individuals.

The hall was basically divided into two parts. One side had the princes and princesses of different Kingdoms and Empires which were dressed in formal attire appropriate for such an event with black suits and dresses.

The other side had the sons and daughters of powerful cultivations clans, sects, schools etc. They wore different kinds of clothes and some even had similar-looking uniforms on.

On the two sides of the hall were a group of guards and a butler that continuously announced the names of every single individual that stepped arrived.

Near the northern exit stood a handsome young man. Blond hair, a pair of semi-transparent red sunglasses on the bridge of his nose and a small silver cross in his right ear. He was wearing a suit but it had a few designs on it that set him apart from the others. This was the same person that had picked a fight with Hao Xuan on the ship, Micha.

He was talking to a stout man in his early twenties. This man resembled a buddha's statue with a wide forehead, curly hair, squinted eyes and hanging earlobes along with his wide chest.

"Woah, brother Zhi is that really true?" Micha asked in incredulity.

'Brother Zhi' bobbed his head up and down.

"I saw it myself, a real-life Titan! In less than a minute it tore through the defensive formations we had been firing at for 3 days and opened the way for us before disappearing. It really came out of nowhere I tell you! He was more than 500 meters tall with bone armor as thick as a city wall on his legs and arms. Every time he breathed the atmosphere changed," Zhi explained with an animated expression.

He looked like a child telling his favorite story. No one would be able to guess that this man was one of the strongest warriors of the younger generation and a core disciple of the Temple. He had been serving aboard a battleship in deep space and returned only a few days ago.

"Wow, why didn't you take any pictures??" Micha asked dejectedly. There was a sighting of an actual Titan and not one person had any evidence?

Zhi shook his head with a wry smile.

"There were thousands of cultivators there. How is it possible that no one took a single picture or a video? It was all confiscated by the superiors after the battle. For some reason they didn't want it getting out."

Micha chuckled, "Then shouldn't you stop telling people about it?"

Zhi's eyes opened wide as he stood there with a dazed expression before slapping himself on the head.

"You're right! Don't tell anyone about it okay? Promise me!" he grabbed Micha by the collar and forcefully shook his hand in a panic.

"Hahaha, of course, brother Zhi, who would believe it anyway?" Micha gave a helpless smile.

A Titan was something from the legends. There were stories about them every now and then, sightings here and there but no actual proof.

They were rumored to be humungous humanoid creatures that could grow thousands of meters. All of them looked different, some had horns on their heads and some looked quite human. Their bones were tougher than most metals and their flesh was almost indestructible. But the one similarity was that all of them, every single Titan was unstoppable and unbeatable. There were akin to natural disasters and all most people could do was move out of their ways.

Micha fixed his collar and let out a deep sigh.

"Phew, deep space though huh? I wish I could go out soon," he yearned to go out but Zhi patted his shoulder.

"Don't. Stay here for as long as you can. Out there there are no rules. No one cares whether your a prince or a holy son. If you're weak then you're dead. This time I went with over two thousand royals and 1500 cultivators from the temple. More than 60% of us died in the first six months. The remaining either didn't want to fight or couldn't. Less than a hundred of us made it back with sound mind and bodies."

Micha nodded. He wasn't childish enough to believe that he was the strongest but he still wanted to go. To fight against the Barbaric clans of deep space, to etch out his own legend among the stars, was there anything better??

Micha was lost in his own thoughts when an announcement caught his and everyone else's attention.

"Now enter Lord Henrik from the Biric Clan, Lord Jin from the Wu Clan, and the Second Guardian for the Academy's Atsu (moving city), Lord Deimos!" the butler yelled.

Every single person in the hall stopped whatever they were doing and turned towards the entrance. The doors opened and in walked three people.

At the front was a strikingly handsome man, or rather, beautiful would be the correct term in his case. With a charming smile, eyes that could stop a heart and an aura of a prince, Henrik walked in.

Several of the princesses blushed looking at him while many of the prince's clenched their firsts in anger.

Behind him was a much smaller person. He looked like a child as compared to Henrik. With circular gold patterns on his face and a haughty attitude, he looked like a spoiled child. This was Wu Jin.

Behind them was a very normal-looking man. Half his face was covered with a mask showing only his lips that were closed tightly. His shoulder-length black hair looked blacker than the darkest black. Other his eyes which would 'steal a soul away', there was nothing special about him. He looked more like a bodyguard than royalty with his build.

"Good evening ladies," Henrik bowed from the waist while meeting the lustful gazes of several women nearby.

"You BASTARD! How dare you show yourself here!" someone shouted from the other side of the hall. Everyone cleared away and opened a path between him and the newly arrived party of three.
