Chapter 1996
"Since all six of you are going to assist the Dragon Corps in the western region, you will need a leader! I hereby
appoint Leon to be the leader, and all of you will have to heed his command!" Alfred said.
"What?"
"You are naming him the leader?"
"It... It can't be!"
Scott and the other two were stunned and disappointed. They assumed that Leon was a powerless man who rose to

Out of their respect for Alfred, the three of them would be fine to let Leon join them and obtain some contribution
points from the mission. However, Alfred caught them by surprise by appointing Leon as the leader. It meant that
Leon would obtain the most contribution points once the mission was accomplished.
None of them could accept it, knowing that their hard work in risking their lives to kill Poisonwielder would end up
being credited to Leon.
"Mister Glasbey, I think you are being reckless to name Mister Wolf the leader! In terms of experience, Scott has
been in the Dragon Corps for years, and he's also a martial artist in the Almighty State, which makes him far more
powerful than Mister Wolf!"
"I think that Scott is better suited as the leader!"
Chad and Jerry blurted out as they tried to nominate Scott to be the leader instead.
They both knew that Scott was an experienced Dragon Guard who was loved by many. With Scott as the leader, he
would be dividing the contribution points equally among the team, so it was far more ideal compared to having
most of the points credited to Leon.
"Mister Glasbey, what Chad and Jerry said makes sense! As one of the people on the criminal list, Poisonwielder is a
formidable opponent. Mister Wolf is far too young, so it's easy for him to act impulsively. It might not be appropriate
for you to appoint him as the leader! I beg that you reconsider!" Scott said.
As a Platinum Dragon Guard, Scott did not care much about credit and contribution points.

would have to do their best and could not afford any mistakes.
Alfred might be placing their lives at risk by appointing a young man as their leader.
If Leon acted recklessly, not only would they fail to accomplish the mission, but they might all end up dying at the
hands of Poisonwielder. That was the last thing any of them wanted.
"That's enough! I've thought this through! Leon is the most suitable candidate for this position!" Alfred said firmly.
"But..." Scott, Chad, and Jerry were reluctant to give up and wanted to argue but were cut off by Alfred before they
could do so.
