Chapter 395 – The Ruler

Chapter 395: The Ruler

"Thanks to you, I reached this stage so quickly," Aakesh expressionlessly said to the ruler.

The ruler moved his eyes away, ignoring Aakesh. He instead waved his hands. The next moment, the fire spread all across the ground.

Aakesh didn't act as the fire wasn't for him but the soldiers.

The fire only spread where the bodies of soldiers lay there. It was the ruler paying respect to his subordinates by personally cremating them.

The dead soldiers, who had their bodies still remaining, turned into ashes. Then even the ashes disintegrated, completely erasing the proof of their existence in the training environment for this round.

The next moment, the ruler disappeared from the place he was standing a moment earlier and appeared right in front of Aakesh, floating in the air and looking down on him with only cruelty present in his eyes.

The ruler belonged to the race Brigvons. It was a race belonging to the demon category and exclusively originated from the Sacred dimension.

Brigvons weren't an ordinary race but the ruler of the Sacred dimension and were born with divinity. Like Asuras, the ruler of the third dimension, they were a natural-born race and were Immortal from the get-go, like Titans. They didn't have the strength these two races had, or they would be one of the top ten races in the Multiverse.

The ruler of the fort, floating just in front of Aakesh, wasn't just an ordinary member of the race, but also the first born Brigvon, who ruled the race for trillions of years. He only left the leadership position after he got bored living in the Sacred dimension and ascended to the third dimension, and was a known character there.

The ruler's name was Ilastov. He had a humanoid body structure like other Brigvons. His skin was wheatish in color, with a slight tint of red. Ilastov had three eyes in the same line, all three being red sclera, white pupil. The nose had only a single nostril for breathing, while there was no tongue present in his mouth.

Ilastov, floating in the air, looked down on Aakesh. He raised his hands and brought them down in a swiping motion.

The next moment, Aakesh felt a wind stronger than anything coming at him and attempting to knock him down, but he was ready for anything that may come his way.

He put the bow on the ground to stabilize himself and then stretched the bowstring.

"Rumble!"

The next moment, a rumble sounded in the area as Aakesh released the bowstring without an arrow. The force released by the bow clashed with the wind attempting to knock Aakesh down. Ilastov didn't just stand there and let Aakesh do whatever he wanted. Ilastov took a step forward in the air and appeared right above Aakesh.

Ilastov turned his right hand into a fist, with the thumb still being open, and punched Aakesh.

Aakesh suddenly felt a mountain weighing on him and a danger to his life. He teleported and appeared a few miles away. Before he could even breathe, the sense of weight reappeared, so he had to teleport again.

The two places he had left in less than a second had now turned into deep pits spanning across tens of meters. If someone were to look carefully, they would find a fist mark. The punch was pure physical power of Ilastov, yet it still was enough to be dangerous for Aakesh.

While teleporting, he didn't forget to shoot, which gave random spawning points to his arrows.

Unfortunately for Aakesh, all it took was a finger to stop the arrow from harming Ilastov.

Ilastov continuously followed Aakesh, and whenever Aakesh appeared, Ilastov would punch. The scene looked weird, as deep pits spanning tens of meters continuously spread across the area.

Aakesh couldn't let this continue for long, despite having unlimited stamina. A single misstep and he would find himself in deep trouble, so Aakesh began to think of options to defend himself.

"Aum Taram Tarayrye Aurye…,"

He began chanting for Nihility of the Beast as it was the only option he currently had to bring this chase to a stop.

Ilastov also had gotten bored of this game of chase, so the thumb he had let open all this time, he closed it, bringing a sudden pressure on Aakesh.

Aakesh had no choice but to stop running. He had already faced this attack, so he was aware of its ability to follow the opponent.

The next moment, a projection of a fist appeared, and it smashed on Aakesh.

Aakesh, continuing to chant, shot hundreds of arrows in that span.

The arrows failed to stop it, but they had decreased the strength of the projection. When the punch smashed on Aakesh, it threw him tens of miles backward while several of his bones had cracked.

Ilastov punched again, and the same scene happened again.

Blood leaked all over Aakesh's body, while several of his bones, including his ribs, were broken. Even his heart had a hole due to his bone piercing it.

Aakesh, ignoring the pain, continued to chant.

"…Gatrt Yatru Namah!"

The chanting finally came to a stop as an arrow appeared right above Aakesh's head.

Aakesh extended his right hand. The arrow right away fell right into it. The bow enlarged itself to accommodate the arrow straight away.

He nocked the arrow, stretched the bowstring up to his nose, and released it.

The next moment, the arrow clashed with the projection of the fist.

The arrow passed right through it, but soon the projection faded, while the beast head had slight cracks all over it.

In no time, the crack restored itself while the beast head began expanding.

Ilastov finally stopped focusing on Aakesh and put his attention on the beast head.

He flew right at the top of the beast head and pressed his palm over it.

The eerie laughter suddenly came to a stop as a force weighing countless tons pressed on it, almost turning it into a flat plate.

The beast head had to stop midway from expanding. It then transformed into a one-horned snake, but unlike the earlier times, the horn was minuscule and could only be seen if seen very carefully.

Ilastov raised his palms in the air and brought them down at an unimaginable rate, attempting to smash the snake, but before he could do that, an arrow deflected it, resulting in a missed attack.
