Chapter 418: Item!

After shooting the arrow, Aakesh took a step forward and appeared on the spot where the creature had just died.

Aakesh did so because after the creature had disintegrated: an item had fallen out of its body.

Aakesh bent down and picked it up. It was in the form of a circular disk, the size of a tennis ball, and silver in color. The bottom part of the disk was empty, while on the top, there was a pattern of a stair engraved on it.

The stair only had two steps, with the upper step being twice the size of the lower one.

Aakesh recognized the item since during his first four quests: he had learned about the information of the treasures present anywhere in the public domain, belonging to all four dimensions.

The circular disk was a descent item. It helped the creature to descend to the Primal dimension from the Sacred dimension.

As for why only the clone descended, it was due to the low quality of the item. If it were one grade higher, the actual creature would have arrived in the Primal dimension.

Somewhere in the Sacred dimension,

A creature similar to what Aakesh had just killed was meditating inside a cave when suddenly it opened its eyes. It had felt an extreme danger to its life at that moment.

Before it could understand what was going on, the creature noticed its lower body suddenly starting to fade. The creature couldn’t even scream for help as its entire body faded, and all signs of its life vanished.

Somewhere in the Multiverse,

“The quest has failed,” A person enshrouded in the dark told the giant figure sitting on a throne as the being knelt.

“Oh!” The figure sitting on the throne nonchalantly replied as if the failure of the quest didn’t mean anything.

“What do you want me to do regarding the quest?” The being kneeling in front of the figure respectfully asked.

“Take off the quest for now, and don’t add it until I tell you,” The figure ordered.

“As you command, your majesty,” The being responded and disappeared while still kneeling.

“This is what happens when people bite more than they can chew,” The figure mumbled as the scene of the creature taking the quest and then its clone descending to the Primal dimension appeared.

All the things that the creature had done from the start to its death appeared on the screen in front of the figure.

For a creature of power like him, peering through the past and dimensions wasn’t a big deal. When Aakesh appeared on the screen, there was only a blur there.

A grin spread across the figure’s face, covered in darkness, seeing the scene of Aakesh killing the creature.

“You didn’t disappoint me,” The figure mumbled as if Aakesh was nothing more than a chess piece for the figure to pass his time.

“What do you think?” The figure then asked while continuing to look at the screen.

“It’s going to be fun,” A voice filled with a playful tone rang in response.

“Haha,” The figure sitting on the throne laughed out loud, hearing the response. The figure then waved his hands, and the screen showing the death of the creature disappeared.

“Don’t forget our bet,” A voice suddenly rang in the area. It couldn’t be discerned from which direction it originated since it looked to be echoing from all directions.

“Haha, how could I?” The figure sitting on the throne replied, and then only silence remained in the area.

Aakesh, unaware of the conversation between the higher-level beings, scrutinized the item.

It was the first time he had gotten an item of the Sacred dimension that was not from the system.

“Hey, system, do you want it?” Aakesh then asked the system as he had no use of the disk. After he ascended, he wouldn’t descend to the Primal dimension using this low-level descent item.

He also asked the system as the system would provide him the best deal of anyone.

[No, Host!]

The next moment, all his hopes came dashing down as the system bluntly refused.

Aakesh then suddenly remembered something. “Hey, system, where are the alerts of my successfully completing the mission?” He asked as not a single life was present in the Universe, Demonic-Fire, the headquarters of Nielle and Demonic-Fire.

[Host, you still haven’t achieved the goal. There are still bases of Nielle left for you to destroy.]

The system responded in its usual mechanical and emotionless voice.

Aakesh then threw the descent disk into the space provided by the system and took a step forward.

Even though the second Absolute arrow had almost destroyed the palace, there were still things left.

Aakesh then began searching for information about Nielle. Unfortunately, the leader of Demonic-Fire and Nielle had died mistakenly in the destruction caused by the second arrow, or Aakesh would’ve found out everything about the organization from him.

Time flew by.

After a strict search of more than an hour, Aakesh found most of the information related to the other bases of Nielle. He couldn’t get everything as not all was intact.

“Hey, system, how much time is left before the sunrise?” Aakesh asked the system. If there weren’t much time left, he would stop his quest for today and complete it tomorrow, and if there were still hours left, he would finish it today, as there were several bases left, and only the travel time would take him a few hours combined.

[Host, there are six hours left for the sunrise!]

Aakesh couldn’t help but get surprised, hearing the number of remaining hours.

There were 15 hours between the sunrise and the sunset, while nine hours between the sunset and the sunrise, making 24 hours total in a day.

Aakesh never thought that he was so quick with the quest. If the travel time was taken out, then Aakesh would’ve succeeded in finishing one of the top five organizations in less than one hour.

Even though it all happened so quickly was due to the obscene amount of destruction caused by the two Absolute arrows, Aakesh still was the archer and fought Immortals.

Since there were still around six hours left, Aakesh had more than enough time to finish the quest today.

Aakesh didn’t wait for a moment and then took a step forward, freeing the space around him.
