Chapter 528: Entering the Ruler’s World(3)

“Roar!”

A louder and angrier roar rang in the area. It froze the man on the ground in his actions.

Talia could sense that something was about to happen. Her bloodline sent her signals to stop the beast, but since she had no idea what this place was and who the people were, she didn’t feel much familiarity with the beast. She controlled her bloodline and forcefully got away from the man.

The man wanted to stop Talia since he felt disgusted by her presence. He wanted this world to be free from her dirty existence.

The man had just raised his hands to catch Talia again when she felt something terrible approaching him.

The man then looked up at the sky, only to notice that the beast was descending down, and its destination was him.

The man’s face turned pale from fear and horror, but he tried to calm down since he wanted to escape.

The man wasn’t the only one who feared the descent of the beast. Almost all the people in the market started running in random directions while pushing others.

“Crunch!”

The next moment, a crunchy sound rang in the street.

When the man had attempted to escape, the beast swooped down and bit his head out. Not long after, the beast spat the broken head as if it was something dirty.

The beast’s eyes then fell on the man’s headless body crashed down on the ground.

“Roar!”

The next moment, the beast let out an angry roar as it looked at the man’s headless corpse.

The beast then inhaled a deep breath, and when it exhaled, a ball of red fire escaped it.

It looked similar to what Talia had released when she was in her crazy uncontrollable mode, but her attack was only enough to hurt an insect. The beast’s released fire, on the other hand, burned the man to ashes in no time.

The beast then looked at the back of Talia, who hadn’t run very far. The anger and cruelty in its eyes suddenly vanished, and gentleness and love took their place.

At the same time, the beast felt happy and sad. It felt happy because Talia was escaping, ignoring everything happening around her, and for the same reason, it felt a pang in its heart.

The beast had appeared here for Talia since she was in danger, despite knowing what would happen to it once it arrived here, but it still did it since Talia was its daughter.

It didn’t know that the current Talia was a different person. And since no one could guess that the beast was a Dragon since it had taken a disguise, Talia only found the beast to be familiar.

“Haa, you came on your own,” A familiar voice rang in the ears of the beast. The tone contained playfulness.

“Who must have thought even the Dragon could love its daughter so much?” The voice commented again, with a hint of ridicule as well as compliment.

Hearing that someone had seen through its disguise, the beast wasn’t surprised since it had expected things to go this way.

The beast then turned its giant head around and found a group of people looking down on it from high up in the air.

The group consisted of seven people, and everyone in the group belonged to the same race, the Dark Elves. The group was floating in the air and was looking down on the Dragon in the guise of a flying beast, with hints of mockery and disgust in their eyes.

One of the Dark Elves in the group turned her head around and looked at the back of Talia, escaping.

Her eyes turned cold as she almost felt puking, seeing the existence of a hybrid.

“Leave her, and I will come with you,” The beast suddenly transformed itself into a man as it told the group.

The man had pale white skin and Elvish features without the Elf’s distinctive sharp nose and ears. There were also two curved horns similar to what Talia had, but the man’s horns were several times larger.

“What if we refuse?” One of the Dark Elves smilingly asked.

“Then George would lose his only son,” The man looked up and responded with an expressionless voice.

The man, who had asked the question, had his smile frozen in the air. His face turned ugly, hearing what the Dragon said.

“How dare you take my father’s name out of your dirty mouth, you dirty beast?” The man angrily glared and asked.

The Dragon didn’t mind the reaction of the man in the air since it had grown with such abuses from the Dark Elves, the ruling race of this place, its entire life. The Dragon had already gotten used to it.

“Calm down, John!” One of the Dark Elves rebuked the angry Dark Elf.

“Your tricks won’t work here, you dirty beast,” The Dark Elf then looked at the Dragon and told it.

“I already gave you a deal,” The Dragon ignored the words and stated.

Talia finally stopped in a dark alley since she couldn’t run anymore. She took the support of the nearest building since even taking a breath felt a challenging task. All the adrenaline rush to escape was now showing its consequences.

‘What is this world?’ Talia thought in her heart as she gasped for breath.

She had no idea what this world was and why couldn’t she use her energy and cultivation here.

‘Who was that beast, and why did it give me so familiar feeling?’ Talia thought another question as she still remembered the beast. If not for its sudden appearance, Talia believed that the crowd would have beaten her to death.

“Thank you! If I ever found your identity, I would surely repay your debt,” Talia muttered as she turned her head around and looked in the direction from where she had escaped.

“If you had taken the deal in the first place, it wouldn’t have happened,” The Dragon, covered in numerous injuries and its blood, scoffed, looking at the group of the Dark Elves.

When the group had arrived, they had seven members, but now there were only five alive members, and two of the five had severe injuries, while the other three also had wounds, but they weren’t very threatening.
