Chapter 123 Pondering

“What’s up?”

Nathan walked toward Hannah lazily and sat beside her. A cup of iced coffee was on the table, and he

picked it up and took a sip.

Hannah smiled and said, “You helped me so much. My dad asked me to thank you properly, so I

prepared a gift for you.”

Then, Hannah took out a box from her handbag and put it in front of Nathan.

He didn’t refuse and opened the box. The gift was a watch, so he put it on directly without saying thanks.

“So ungrateful!” Hannah snorted softly and kicked him while smiling-

She became delighted when Nathan treated her carelessly, which proved that they were getting closer

and closer.

Hannah rested her cheeks and looked at Nathan playing with his new watch. “I heard about what you

had done at old Mr. Johnson’s birthday party yesterday. By the way, do you really have a way to cure

him?”

Nathan sneered and didn’t respond.

Hannah said, “I heard that Carlos was there, but he couldn’t cure old Mr. Johnson either, so he planned

to ask someone named Master Evans for help.”

“Master Evans? Was he talking about me? He used to call me that.” Nathan was stunned.

“Nonsense. You’re not the only Evans in the world.” Hannah couldn’t help laughing. “You can’t even

properly apply the painkiller on my bruises, and now you’re calling yourself a master?”

Nathan thought, “I wouldn’t do that if your painful moans weren’t so seductive.”

Hannah pulled Nathan up from the chair and dragged him into a cinema to watch a movie. She had

already got the movie tickets prepared.

A famous actor starred in this blockbuster of Nordime, so there were many audiences in the cinema.

Hannah bought two seats in the last row, where she and Nathan could be alone.

The lights were out, and some advertisements were playing on the screen. It was a bit boring, and

Nathan also felt awkward sitting like this. To prove that he wasn’t made of stone, he asked, “How’s your

foot?”

“Much better. Don mess with me again!” Hannah smiled and pinched Nathan’s body.

Nathan felt displeased because Hannah still pinched him even if she was not mad. Therefore, he

pinched her back.

Hannah was startled when she felt the pain, and then she became angry. He was indeed a stone that

couldn’t even understand flirting. How could he pinch her as revenge?

“How could you even get married with so much stupidity!” Hannah couldn’t help but curse angrily. She

pinched Nathan fiercely again. “If you pinch me again, give me back your watch!”

Nathan was actually ready to take off the watch and return it to her, making Hannah dumbfounded. She

could only say, “Okay, okay! Stop it. The movie is about to start. Let’s enjoy it!”

And then, she held Nathan’s arm and leaned against his shoulder.

Nathan paused and felt restless after putting on the watch.

He couldn’t explain why he would feel this way when Hannah leaned against his shoulder intimately in

the dark.

The movie became more exciting with the action scenes. Hannah felt nervous and held Nathan’s hand.

They crossed their fingers, and their palms were covered in thin sweat, which was a bit sticky but soft.

Hannah let out a sigh of relief after the actor successfully got out of danger, and she suddenly realized

that she was clasping Nathan’s hand intimately.

“Come on, have some popcorn!” Hannah pursed her lips and smiled. Then, she picked up a piece of

popcorn and fed it to

Nathan.

She accidentally touched his lips, and Nathan almost got lost in this flirty atmosphere.

After watching the movie, Hannah was very satisfied. “This actor is awesome! All his movies are

classics!”

Nathan agreed. This actor was handsome and dedicated. He learned many skills to star in different

movies perfectly, and those actors who relied on computers were never his match.

Hannah stood up and took a step forward. Maybe she sat for too long, and her ankle was still injured;

she suddenly went limp and exclaimed as she fell backward.

Then, she sat on Nathan’s lap before he could stand up, and Nathan felt the tenderness of her body

immediately.

Nathan wanted to support her, but his hands ended up in the wrong place. He blushed and moved his

hands to her waist.

This action was still ambiguous, but at least his hands were in the right place, so it was rather

acceptable.

“My ankle is still injured, so I slipped…” Hannah pursed her lips and said softly, and her ears turned red.

Nobody knew whether she fell on his lap because she was injured or because her heart told her to do so.

She held the back of the front seat and wanted to stand up, but she realized that Nathan’s hands were

still on her waist. She

turned to glare at him. “Let go!”

However, she felt even more ashamed after this glare. Her butt almost touched Nathan’s nose because

she stood up.

Nathan let go of her, and Hannah finally stood still.

Both of them felt a bit awkward at the same time.

Especially Nathan. He remained seated and didn’t move.

“What are you waiting for? The movie is over!” Hannah asked in confusion and frowned.

“You go first. I suddenly thought of something important, and I’ll come out when I figure it out.” Nathan

said in a deep voice. He frowned, crossed his legs, and grabbed his chin as if he was pondering.

Hannah glanced at him suspiciously. “Then I’ll wait for you outside.”

As soon as Hannah left, Nathan stopped pondering and put his leg down with a wry smile.

“D*mn it. No wonder my Dad always held the mice and crossed his legs while pondering when I broke

into his office without knocking. So that was what happened…” Nathan talked to himself while trying to

ease his mind.

After he calmed down, he stood up calmly and left the cinema.

Hannah was waiting outside quietly while resting her chin on her hand. Her mind was also a mess, and

she didn’t know what she was thinking.

“Officer Evans, what were you thinking just now?” Hannah asked curiously.

“It’s nothing.” Nathan smiled and reached out to her.

Hannah took his hand, then held his arm after she stood up. She smiled. “Let’s have some snacks and

go shopping, and then we’ll have dinner and some wine at your place tonight!”

“I once visited your wine cellar in secret. There’s a lot of red wine that I’ve never seen before. I’m going

to drink as much as I want today, so don’t be stingy.”

Nathan didn’t like Hannah staying overnight at his place before, but he gladly agreed after hearing her

request today. “Sure!”

The two seemed closer because of the movie and some flirty little matters afterward.

However, this ambiguous atmosphere was interrupted by a phone call from Wendy. Nathan frowned, but

he had to answer

because he was kind of worried.

Wendy said, “The new company is prepared. Go there in an hour and look around. I won’t show up.”

Then, she gave Nathan an address.

Nathan was displeased. It seemed like Wendy was trying to leave all the trouble to him.
