Chapter 177 - ...because Of Jia Li
"Will you remember your words, or will you choose to swallow them?" Grandfather Fu asked as he gazed into her eyes.
Seeing that there was a chance for redemption, Fu Hee clung tightly to the old man's clothes and nodded frantically.
"Father, I promise to keep my promise. If I go against me, then you can punish me. You can send me back to my family and bring it down." Fu Hee said and wiped her tears while gazing at the old man expectantly.
Just then, Fu Hua came over with his hands in his pockets. He remained unmoved when he saw the scene in front of him. He even went to sit and sat cross-legged on the sofa.
This was his kind of personality. He is heartless towards the people that dare to cross his path, no matter who they are.
Grandfather Fu glanced at Fu Hua who just walked in and sat down like the matter didn't concern him.
Fu Lei guessed what the old man was about to do and immediately refused to surrender.
Follow on NovᴇlEnglish.nᴇt"Father, don't tell me anything, Fang Hee is going back to the Fang Family tomorrow morning. Since she is good at plotting evil, surely she won't have a hard time spending the rest of her life there." Fu Lei said as he glared at Fu Hee.
What he meant, was that Fu Hee could survive in the Fu family since she knew how to plot against people. She could use these abilities to save herself.
"Fu Lei, I promise not to go against you, please don't send me back to the Fang family." Fu Hee pleaded as more tears rolled down her cheeks.
She surely looked pitiable now. She couldn't wait to get out of that situation and rest.
"Fu Lei, you can punish her in another way, don't send her back to the Fang family since she has made a promise. If she goes against her words, I will make her head to the Fang family and then crush them underneath my feet." Grandfather Fu said as he made a crushing noise with his foot.
Fu Lei's countenance was cold as he glanced between the old man and Fu Hee.
Fu YingPei glanced at his brother who seemed not to care about whatever was going on. He looked very worried as he tried to approach him to intercede for their mother.
It looked like Fu Hua guessed his thoughts and so glanced at him, "Don't you dare!" He said in a cold tone.
Fu YingPei didn't dare to go to his side again and remained standing there.
Fu Lei didn't say anything, so Grandfather Fu understood that he agreed with what he said. Grandfather Fu sighed and turned to Fu Hee to say...
"Fu Hee, I hope you have learned your lessons, and you know the crime for deceiving me. You will be under house arrest for a month and 70% of your monthly allowance deducted for 3 months."
"Thank you, Father!" Fu Hee said as she cried tears of joy!
At last, she has gotten out of the huge mess she landed herself in and she doesn't mind the punishment that was given to her.
"Don't thank me yet! I forgave you and gave you leeway because of Jia Li. I don't want that child to feel bad and live her life in guilt." Grandfather Fu said, after making it known to everyone present of the reason he gave her a light punishment.
In every situation, Grandfather Fu would always try to consider Jia Li's feelings. He knew Jia Li would live in guilt and blame herself if Fu Hee was sent away, so Grandfather had to find another way to punish Fu Hee.
Fu Hee wiped her tears and she nodded. Now, she understood the reason the old man rescued her from her husband's hands.
There was no need to think too much about it. She was grateful that she was spared. She thanked the old man again.
Grandfather Fu glanced at her and said, "You have offended all of us, so you have to render an apology to each member of the family for the trouble you have caused. You also have to especially apologize to Fu Hua and Jia Li for the troubles you've caused them and for trying to kill their unborn child. After that, you need to be always grateful to Jia Li, because she is the reason you were not sent back to the Fang family today, remember that she gave you a second chance."
Fu Hee listened carefully and responded to what the old man said. She sniffed and wiped her tears and snot with the back of her hand.
"I will listen to everything father said to me." Fu Hee said and bowed while still kneeling.

Fu Hee thanked him and tried to stand up but she was too weak to do that. She was lucky enough that Fu YingPei was the only person that was still willing to look out for her.
Fu YingPei came to her side and helped to lift her.
"Thank you!" Fu Hee said to him in a hoarse voice. Her vocal cords have been damaged after crying for a long time.
Fu Hee glanced at Fu Lei before leaving but the latter didn't even spare her a glance. Fu Hee sniffed and walked away without looking back.
Butler Lu glanced at her back and sighed. He hoped that she would take this second chance that was given to her and repent from her evil ways otherwise the consequences will be dire.
With what she was seeing, it was now only Fu YingPei that still cared about her a little and maybe the young miss that would be coming back soon. Apart from that, she didn't have any other support in the family.
"Fu Lei, you can go and relax now, the matter has ended, and I'm happy with what you did today." Grandfather Fu said to him.
"I was only doing what was right. I don't have the time to rest, I'm going back right away." Fu Lei said and left their presence and Fu YingPei left as well.
Turning to Fu Hua, Grandfather Fu said to him...
