Everyone's eyes suddenly zeroed in on Martin.
Martin's grip on the microphone was tight, his mind a battleground. His answer would determine whether to save Marian or the
project.
Saving Marian would mean a complete fallout between the Frost family and the Crawley family, thanks to Brandon's protective
streak for Sophia. And that meant the estate Louis had his heart set on would slip through their fingers.
But saving the project would mean sacrificing Marian's reputation and future prospects.
If it was just Marian, he wouldn't have hesitated for a second to choose the project. But that paternity test report showed she was
Yolanda.
He and she had personally gone to the hospital for the paternity test, which showed she was Yolanda.
He'd picked the hospital himself, it was his people, and the decision to go was made on the fly, so there was no chance the results
were faked.
Marian, getting antsy, nudged him in a whisper, "Martin."
Martin glanced at her, and then couldn't help but steal a look at Louis down below.
Louis was also frowning, eyes fixated on him, clearly thrown by the sudden turn of events and clueless about what was going on, or
why Marian was flipping her story at the last minute.
Martin had no clue whether Yolanda or grandma held a more significant place in Louis' heart. His gaze lingered on Louis for a long

Sophia was looking at him too, her expression calm. There was no sign of indignation, resentment, or feeling wronged; she just
watched him quietly.
Her look somehow stirred a pang of guilt in him, and an odd sense of familiarity.
Sophia hadn't done anything wrong; she had been the victim all along, first replaced by an imposter and now facing the prospect
of being blamed for it.
Martin couldn't fathom how Yolanda had becthis way. Despite being at fault, she refused to repent and even had the audacity
to try and turn the tables because of her identity as Yolanda.
She was clearly gambling on their family's guilt.
A simple apology could have solved everything, but Marian had blown things up beyond repair. Martin was heartbroken and
furious. For a moment, he was tempted to just cut Marian loose, clean and quick.
Marian caught that flicker of resolution and chill in his eyes, especially when he raised the microphone. She panicked, speaking up
before Martin could, "Also, | want to clarify something. At the beginning of the press conference, considering the reputation of the
Frost family, | had to falsely claim that | was not Yolanda. But the truth is, | am indeed the long-lost daughter of the Frost family,
and the original intention of launching this project was forto complete this work."
Marian said this, her eyes fixed on Louis below. She was betting on Louis' feelings for Yolanda.
Martin didn't care about Yolanda as much, what mattered to him was his grandpa. She knew that, but Louis adored Yolanda to the
core.
To bolster her persuasion, Marian even projected her phone screen onto the big screen behind her.
When the paternity test report, proving that Martin and Marian shared the sbiological father, appeared on the big screen,
Brandon abruptly stood up.
Louis couldn't help but stand as well.
Sophia, staring at the text on the big screen, was momentarily stunned and then turned to look at Brandon, whose reaction was
intense.
Brandon's handsface was taut, cold, and somber. Microphone in hand, he strode toward the podium, saying calmly as he
walked.
"The paternity report was forged by Marian. She has no blood relation to the Frost family and is not Yolanda. Over two years ago,
Marian and Martin had a paternity test, which confirmed they are not related by blood. The reason Marian was allowed to enter the
Frost family under the nYolanda was due to Louis’ poor health and his yearning for his granddaughter. Martin and Marian had
reached an agreement for cooperation, and there is a contract to prove it. After the press conference, | will distribute copies of the
agreement to the journalists present."
While speaking, Brandon reached the podium and expressionlessly shut off the projector, forcibly severing the connection between
Marian and Yolanda.
