Chapter 268
But in the next instant, Maja whipped out a can of pepper spray and sprayed it right into his eyes.
“What the hell is this?”
Glenn could only feel an intense burning in his eyes, leaving him unable to open them, and tears started streaming down his
face.
Maja was well aware of Glenn’s shady behavior. Before she came to the company, she had prepared herself.
Breaking free, she grabbed a chair nearby and smashed it toward Glenn without hesitation.
“Ah!” Glenn cried out in pain and fell to the side but didn’t lose consciousness.
Maja, still unsatisfied, gave a kick to the man’s most vulnerable area.
“Ah!”
Glenn’s wails grew louder, his fáce turning pale from the pain as he curled up into a ball, his body drenched in cold sweat.
Even though the pain was almost unbearable, it kept him from blacking out.
Cristina hurriedly walked in after opening the door and immediately gasped as she saw Glenn writhing in agony on the floor.
“This is outrageous! Maja, what have you done to Glenn?”

Maja saw a figure outside and assumed it was Glenn’s security. Later, Maja realized it was actually Cristina outside.
Cristina rushed over, raising her hand to slap Maja. But Maja was quicker, catching her wrist and then slapping her hard.
Cristina, in disbelief, clutched her face, staring at Maja.
“How dare you hit me?”
“This slap is for knowing what your son was up to and still covering for him outside!”
Cristina, not as young as Maja and worried about the still suffering Glenn, was trembling uncontrollably.
“Maja, mark my words; if anything happens to Glenn, you’re going to jail!”

Maja nonchalantly picked up her phone from the floor, the screen showing that it was recording.
The moment Glenn had knocked the phone out of her hand, she had started recording.
Everything Glenn had said was recorded.
“Cristina, if you dare call the cops, I’ll put your son behind bars. Even in court, I’ll be ruled as self–defense.”
Maja chuckled, looking at the still–twitching Glenn, “If you don’t take him to the hospital soon, he’ll never have children.”
“You!”
Cristina was furious; she hadn’t expected Maja to record everything. She hurriedly helped Glenn up, glaring at Maja.
Maja raised an eyebrow, pocketed her phone, and walked away.
“You despicable woman!”
Cristina’s indignant shout echoed behind her, but Maja didn’t care.

Her trip to the company had left her disgusted and without any gain.
Regarding the surveillance footage of Wyatt, she didn’t see anything useful.
It was likely that the surveillance was deliberately deleted, just like at the bar.
If that was the case, then the person who killed Wyatt was definitely within the company.
But who could it be?
Her abilities were limited, and all she could do now was wait for the results of the police investigation.
Maja went to see Wyatt’s wife again, who had been taken home by her family due to her grief, while others began handling
Wyatt’s funeral.
Maja wanted to suggest that Wyatt’s family delay his burial until the police had made their final ruling..

But she wasn’t close with them, and considering the last message Wyatt sent was to her, they might harbor some resentment
towards her.
So, Maja decided not to say anything more.
But Wyatt’s death still left her uneasy, feeling as if some unknown plot was brewing.

“The doctor has examined Glenn’s injuries. Likely, he won’t be able to father children.”
Upon hearing this, Cristina felt her mind going blank, standing there in disbelief.
How could this be?
Glenn’s agonized howl came from the hospital room, “That wicked woman! I’m going to kill her!”
1
He had probably heard the doctor’s words. Filled with rage, all Glenn could think about was Maja.
That despicable woman, he swore he’d make her pay!
