residency, he muttered, “It’s odd! Has someone else retrieved it ahead of us?”

Devin recalled the residency was once opened to the public as the founding father’s official residency.

Sebastian shook his hand and asserted, “Since it’s clearly mentioned in Louis’ will, I’m sure it’s still

here. He must have hidden it somewhere.”

They let out a long sigh and continued searching the residency to get their hands on it.

When they thought they were about to embark on another tedious journey, Sebastian found something

suspicious in the painting down the hallway.

Devin dashed forward and returned with something after a few minutes. They finally found the official

record of the Limmer family.

While Sebastian started perusing it, Devin was on the lookout to ensure his safety just in case they

weren’t the only ones there.

All of a sudden, the observant man caught a glimpse of a silhouette in the dark. He yelled, “Who is it?”

Once Sebastian turned around, he found out Devin was nowhere to be seen next to him anymore.

Devin had rendered the mysterious figure incapable of motion, asking at the top of his lungs, “Who are

you? What are you doing here?”

They had never seen the young man around the residency. On top of his neat appearance, his nails

were well-trimmed.

Sebastian joined the duo and instructed after observing the mysterious figure for quite some time, “Try

smelling his fingers.”

The confused Devin looked at Sebastian in the eyes before reaching for the hand of the shrieking

figure to take a whiff.

Startled by the strong scent coming from the fingers, Devin announced, “There’s a strong scent of

disinfectant!”

Sebastian nodded and explained, “If I’m not mistaken, the one in charge of developing nuclear

weapons is a doctor. Do you remember I’ve instructed Grayson to investigate the doctors of the

hospital?”

Devin was confused even when Sebastian had gone to great lengths to help him link the missing

pieces of puzzles together.

I’m also a freaking commander of the special forces, but I feel so dumb whenever he’s around me! It

feels as if I’m not a match for him in terms of intelligence!

How has he figured out the one in charge of the development is a doctor? Is this mysterious figure the

only one he needs to link the missing pieces of puzzles together?

As confused as Devin might be, Sebastian was spot on because Karl, who had long made his way to

Moranta, finally found the mysterious figure according to the intel Matteo and Ian gathered.

The mysterious figure got in touch with someone from Jadeborough as soon as he returned to his safe

house.

“What the h*ll? How dare he send someone as vicious as such to Jadeborough?”

Those from SteelFort, including Karl, started cursing when they found out the truth.

Without a second thought, they sent Sebastian the IP address of the research personnel.

Immediately after Sebastian got his hands on the information he needed, he moved out to take the said

personnel into custody.

He showed up at the hospital with fully armed forces and took Grayson by surprise because the said

research personnel was someone beyond their expectation.

She was the most famous gynecologist of the hospital, the one in charge of Sasha’s check-up

throughout her pregnancy.

Grayson was heartbroken because she was there ever since the day he joined the hospital. He ended

up stuttering when he figured out the truth, “H-Helen, how is that possible! S-Since when—”

What’s going on? Why has she chosen to work for the evildoer? Why on earth is she doing his

biddings?

Helen was relatively calm; she must have long foreseen others confronting her a long time ago. She

remarked in a callous tone, “What’s wrong? Am I not allowed to swear my allegiance to others when

Sebastian added, “Has he honored his promise of promoting your son as his aide? You’re merely one

of his many pawns, but you took his words seriously because of the promise he made to the Durant

family. Unfortunately, you’re the only surviving member of the family. Am I wrong?”

He finished his sentence nonchalantly because he couldn’t care less about the things awaiting the

woman in front of him.
