A few days after being discharged from the hospital, worried about not having someone to look after her, Sasha decided to bring
Vivienne and her two kids back to the Linklater household. Percival was also taken in, staying right next door to Vivienne.
The children seemed to be more spirited day by day. Every morning, after feeding them, Yorick and his son each would pick
up a child, forting and patting them in the living room.
Sasha, sitting on the side, couldn't help but shake his head with a smile. "Good thing there are two of them; otherwise, these two
would be fighting over who gets to hold them," he thought.
Then, turning his head towards Vivienne, who maintained a cool demeanor, he asked, "Aren't you going to nthe kids? Calling
them ‘baby’ all the tdoesn't cut it, does it?"
Vivienne simply replied, "No rush. We'll decide once Mr. Wolf wakes up."
At noon, Leopold cto pick up Vivienne. "Vivienne, Richard and Isolde are awake. They want to know how Percival is doing."
Vivienne wrapped herself tightly in a thick coat and got into Leopold's car.
At the hospital, Richard was lost in thought, gazing out the window from his wheelchair.
Upon Vivienne's arrival, he turned around. It seemed he had aged considerably in just a few days, his hair almostpletely white.
Seeing Vivienne, his long-held worries seemed to dissipate. He beckoned her over, "I've heard all about it. How's Percival? Is he

Vivienne nodded slightly, "Mr. Wolf is recovering steadily, albeit slowly."
Richard sighed in relief, "Slow is fine, as long as he's okay."
Changing the subject, he inquired about the grandchildren, "How are the kids? Leopold mentioned they arrived a month early.
Everything alright?"
Vivienne confirmed, "A boy and a girl, both healthy."
A sparkle appeared in Richard's eyes, "Which one is the elder?"
Remembering Sasha's recount of the birth, Vivienne couldn't help but smile, "The girl."
Richard, curious, asked about the names, to which Vivienne gave the sresponse.
After a moment of silence, Richard, with a choked voice, agreed, "That's fine."
The conversation then shifted to Vivienne's parents, Nathan and Cecilia, who had been severely injured in an incident. Richard
expressed his relief that they were alive and his hope for their recovery.
"Vivienne, | called you here because | need a favor," Richard suddenly sighed, revealing a burdened heart.
Without hesitation, Vivienne assured him of her assistance.
Richard explained that Isolde's emotional state had be extremely volatile since waking up, likely due to shock. He hoped
Vivienne couldfort her, knowing Isolde trusted her the most.
On the way back, Leopold cautiously asked Vivienne if they should seek help from their mentor for the challenges ahead.
"No need, the less people know about this, the better."
Vivienne shot back, "Did you get the stuff | asked for?"
Leopold swallowed hard, "Vivienne, are you sure those things will work?"
Vivienne glanced at him sharply, "Just getwhat | asked for and don't worry about the rest."
Leopold choked on his response, not daring to ask any more questions.
For the next few days, Vivienne locked herself in her room, noting out for anything except to interact with the kids.
No one knew what she was up to.

But at night, the sound of a child's cry would occasionally escape from her room.
The next day, under the bright noon sun, Vivienne opened the window to let the sunlight in, basking the twin stroller in its warmth.
One dressed in pink and the other in blue, the babies were waving their little hands in the air as if trying to grasp something.
Arthur and Sasha cover to see the kids but had to leave abruptly due to a phone call.
Vivienne stayed seated beside them, busy with her phone.
Suddenly, the butler cin, urging Vivienne to check on the neighbor's son-in-law, who seemed to have woken up.
A spark flashed in Vivienne's eyes.
She asked the butler to watch the kids and headed to the next room.
Inside, Mr. Wolf lay still on the bed, as quiet and motionless as ever, showing no signs of consciousness.
Then, suddenly, a sharp cry cut through the silence from outside, only to stop abruptly.
Vivienne's gaze darkened instantly.
She rushed back to her room, only to find the spot by the window, where the twins had been just moments ago, now eerily empty.
