Thaddeus's cheeks flushed a bright shade of red. "Sis, I'm not a little boy anymore. I've grown into a man!" "And you once told me, a boy has to be responsible for the girl he likes..." As he said this, Thaddeus glanced up at Percival, then quickly looked down again, "I might not fully understand what liking someone means, but I just can't stand by and watch Isolde get hurt." Percival was speechless.
How did Isoldee into this conversation again? It had only been a few days, and these two were involved again! Vivienne looked at them in surprise, "You did it to save Isolde?" Seeing Percival silent, Thaddeus continued, "Yeah, there was a lot of chaos, people running and screaming. Isolde tripped over her dress, and I was just trying to help her up when a chair hit me." Percival was taken aback.
After all, this meant the Ellington family owed a huge favor to the Brooks family. Fair is fair.
Thaddeus explained in a low voice, "Sis, mom and dad already talked toabout it. I know I'm not that strong yet, but it's Isolde, I just couldn't stand seeing her hurt..." Percival could barely stand to hear more, his face serious as he took over, "Thaddeus, on behalf of our family and Isolde, I want to say thank you for saving her!" Thaddeus was startled and waved his hands, "No need, Isolde and I, we..." Percival's brows knitted, his words firm, "You're both still young. Focus on your studies and put aside other thoughts for now!" "Aren't you aspiring to be a scientist? I'll arrange for someone to give you a tour of a national laboratory. It might be useful for you." Thaddeus's eyes lit up, "Really?" Percival nodded, encouraging, "But as you know, a scientist's tis mostly spent on research, sometimes at the expense of personal time. Be prepared for that." Thaddeus had already researched everything about being a scientist; he was prepared for thismitment.
"I will." Percival nodded in satisfaction.
Vivienne watched the exchange with a smile, not saying a word.
She doubted Mr. Wolf's plans were foolproof.
She herself had emerged from the lab, knowing well that focusing on work was one thing, but finding tfor a partner was entirely possible.
Especially since these kids had a connection from a young age, a sort of childhood betrothal.
After ensuring the hospital had everything under control, Vivienne was persuaded by Cordelia to head back.
Follow on NovᴇlEnglish.nᴇtOn the way, Sasha informed Vivienne that she had shown Finnian the pattern, and he seemed to recognize it.
She suggested Vivienne should consult him when she had a chance.
After advising, she and Arthur headed towards the car prepared by the Linklater family.
Arthur looked back every three steps, his eyes almost pinning Percival to a cross for penance.
Vivienne also turned to instruct him, "Mr. Wolf, please explain everything to mom and dad. I'll head back first." Percival was left speechless.
As Vivienne was about to catch up with Sasha, she was suddenly enveloped in a firm embrace from behind. Percival tried to laugh, but his voice cout hoarse and filled with an immense sense of grievance, "After surviving a life-and- death ordeal and swearing oaths to each other, Vivienne, are you... leaving me?" Vivienne was confused.
She was just going back home-nothing more! "I need to check if Abigail left anything behind in the Linklater family after her serious injury..." "That's not happening!" Vivienne puzzled, "Why not?" Percival's chest vibrated slightly, his gaze deepening, "Because tonight is our wedding night!" Vivienne's face flushed crimson.
She had otten about this.
After the wedding, she couldn't return to the Linklater family? Realizing she hadpletely otten, Percival sighed with a mix of amusement and resignation.
Vivienne, mind blank, stammered, "Then, where do we go now?" Percival leaned in to kiss the corner of her mouth, "You ot, we have our own bridal suite, a place where no one will disturb us." Percival's bridal suite was located in a mansion within Rivenwood.
The location wasn't top-notch, but it was far from mediocre.
Interestingly, the last row of villas here wasn't even on the market before a mysterious buyer acquired them all.
It was unclear if Mr. Wolf was behind this.
As Vivienne stepped inside, she was stunned by the sea of red.
From the entrance to the living room, red rose petals led the way to the bedroom.
Vivienne smiled, not expecting Mr. Wolf to have such a romantic side.
Percival closed the door behind them, his arms wrapping around her from behind, his voice soft, "My lady, do you like it?" Without hesitation, Vivienne answered, "I love it." Percival chuckled lowly, his voice seductive, "More than you love me?" Vivienne raised an eyebrow, facing the man whose eyes were already lost in passion, her smile enticing, "Mr. Wolf, after a fierce battle with Abigail today, are you sure you're stiftup for it?" Percival's body heat soared, his hands lifting her up effortlessly, "Vivienne, shall we find out?" They both tumbled onto the soft bed in the bedroom.
In that dizzying moment, Vivienne could only feel the heavy breaths of Mr. Wolf next to her.
Though he seemed to be holding back, his desire was palpable.
She smirked, her hands pulling him closer, biting his lip as a current of electricity surged between them, "Shall we?" Percival's last shred of rationality shattered, his grip tightening, not giving Vivienne any chance to retreat.
When Vivienne woke up, it was already ten in the morning.
Checking her phone, she was surprised to find no messages at all.
Follow on Novᴇl-Onlinᴇ.cᴏmStruggling to rise, Vivienne found herself tightly embraced, unable to move.
Her head ached as she pieced together the flashes of last night.
One thought stood clear.
When men go wild, they really go all out! From the bedroom to the bathroom, she was already exhausted, yet her body jueminded her that last night's exertions had spanned far beyond just those two locations. Five minutes later, while her phone remained silent, Percival's rang incessantly.
Noticing the furrow on Percival's brow, Vivienne quickly tried to get up, only to be pulled back into a firm embrace, pressed against his chest.
His voice, still husky from sleep, was irresistibly seductive, "Where to?" Vivienne couldn't help but roll her eyes, "To get dressed." Considering last night's clothes had all but vanished, his question seemed almost ridiculous.
Percival smirked, his eyes gleaming Jine with satisfaction, "No rush. Let's take a moment to wake up properly; your body won't be able to handle it otherwise." Vivienne was speechless.
After answering the call, Percival briefly spoke and then hung up.
He then whispered to Vivienne, who was still lying motionless in his arms, "That was my parents, inviting us over for dinner tonight." Vivienne responded lazily.
She understood that marriage meant these kinds of invitations would be a regular occurrence.
Seeing her lack of enthusiasm, Percival tried to reassure her, "Don't overthink it. It's just dinner, nothing else." Suddenly, Vivienne looked up, "Mr. Wolf, aren't you tired?" Percival was taken aback.
As she watched the depth in Mr. Wolf's eyes grow, Vivienne immediately regretted her question and quickly made her escape before he could react.
The wardrobe was filled with clothes to her taste. She casually picked an outfit and changed. Stepping out, she saw Mr. Wolf already dressed and bustling in the kitchen.
