“You had the gall to trip up your own brother and sister-in-law, to hire killers and set fires. You even dared to take the lives of my

wife and daughter—why couldn't you just cto us and say you wanted this company.”

Kenneth'’s face was streaked with tears, his voice choked with sorrow, “As long as you speak up, tellwhat you want, and | would

be willing to step down. I'd rather give you the company than to see what you have become, than to be separated from Bella for all

these years. | didn’t want her to suffer outside, don’t you understand?? Do you understand how important family means to me.”

His tears were pouring down like rain, he asked angrily, “Do you understand?”

To him, family was everything.

Lucas’s eyes brimmed with tears too. This was the first the had seen his elder brother break down like this, pouring his heart

out to him.

But it was all too late.

“Oh Beverly,” Louisa cried, her heart felt like it was being sliced open, “What else is there, that we don’t know? | don’t believe that

you'd hate us so deeply over something so trivial.”

There were tears in Beverly's eyes too, “There are something I've held in my heart for so long.”

Beverly couldn't hold back any longer, and tears swelled in her eyes, “I will never forget the night | gave birth to Frederica. When

my parents found out | had given birth to a daughter, they didn’t even bother to visit. They just sent the butler with a card and

scash, and didn’t cto see us until after | had fully recovered from the ordeal of childbirth.”

“You misunderstood!!” Cornelia was so anxious that she was in tears, “It was because.”

Beverly was stunned. How did she know about that?
