Chapter 1493 Hiding Away
Then, Cindy smiled at her. “Come on, where do you want to go? I’ll take you.”
Naomi had already planned her trip before she came, so she immediately listed out two locations that she wanted
to visit.
Cindy smacked her lips in contemplation, for both of these places had studios and recording sets located around
them.
In other words, there was a higher chance for celebrities to show up at such places.
Indeed, many tourists liked to stroll around the area and take photos there upon their visit since they would have a
high probability of meeting celebrities.
Cindy couldn’t bring herself to reject her friend’s request, so she only nodded and said, “Sure, let’s go.”
The two then hailed a taxi and headed to Naomi’s hand-picked spots.
Cindy brought Naomi to another one of the two locations in order to avoid meeting Ian by chance.
She was aware of his filming schedule today, so when they were done touring the first location, he was probably
already done for the day.
Follow on NovᴇlEnglish.nᴇtShe would then bring Naomi to the second spot on her list. When they arrived at the first recording venue, the area
surrounding it was already barricaded to prevent outsiders from entering.
Naomi didn’t know when they’d finish filming either, so she was a little disappointed. “We can’t be waiting here all
day. It’d be such a waste of my time.”
Cindy had already seen her fair share of celebrities, so she wasn’t very interested in seeing them anymore.
Thus, she said, “It’s nothing special if you meet them, anyway. They look pretty much the same as they do on TV.
There’s no point speaking a few words to them or getting an autograph either. You don’t have a celebrity you
particularly like, so there’s no need to wait around for them all day.”
Indeed, Naomi was never one to fangirl over movie stars or celebrities. She and Cindy were the same—they were
both pragmatic women who led busy lives in order to make a living. They simply couldn’t spare the time to fawn
over people who were clearly out of reach.
Naomi smacked her lips, seemingly still quite unwilling to leave empty-handed. “Since we’re already here, I’ll
somehow feel unaccomplished if we don’t get to take a few photos of some celebrities up close.”
She hesitated a little before continuing, “How about this? Let’s head to the other spot and see if they’ve closed up
the area as well. If the same thing happens over there, I’ll just accept the fact that I’m not meant to see these
hotties up close, and I won’t force it anymore.”
Cindy glanced at the time. She felt that Ian should be done with his filming session by the time they arrived at the
other location, so she wasn’t afraid of bumping into him there. “Sure, then. Let’s head over to the other place.”
The two hailed another taxi and went straight to the other studio.
Indeed, a shooting session had just concluded when they arrived at the venue.
They spotted a celebrity together with his assistant as soon as they got down from the car. The pair had just
boarded a minivan by the side of the road.
Naomi got a little excited. “Look, Cindy. Look there, that celebrity—there were rumors of his marriage being in
shambles some time ago, but both him and his wife profusely denied the claim. Is that really him?”
Cindy saw them too and nodded lightly. “Yeah, it’s him. I didn’t think he’d show up here today. Do you want to get
his autograph?”
“Of course not.” Naomi shot him a glare. “Didn’t you see the news? There is so much concrete evidence proving
that he’s cheated on his wife, yet he still doesn’t want to admit it no matter what. Damn him, what an as*hole!”
Cindy laughed at her response. “It’d be great if all fans think the same way as you.”
These days, fans often acted in an overly biased way; even if their favorite celebrities made a mistake, most of

They would never urge their beloved idol to take responsibility for their actions and be a good example for others.
Naomi stood by the side, tiptoeing to peer into the studio building while Cindy stood next to her.
A little while later, Cindy could see Ian walking out from the studio.
She flinched in surprise—Ian shouldn’t have just finished filming at this time. In fact, he should’ve already been
home by then.
Did he stay back and chat with the others until now?
Cindy quickly turned around so that her back was facing him, but she realized her actions soon after doing that. She
felt like it was quite unnecessary to do so.
So what if he saw her here? She hadn’t done anything wrong, so she had no reason to be afraid of being spotted by
him.
Cindy reminded herself with a hiss under her breath. Even though she was thinking that way, she still lacked the
courage to stay calm. At the same time, she was afraid that Naomi would spot Ian as well, so she quickly grabbed
the latter by the arm. “By the way, Naomi, didn’t you have to meet your client today? Why did you leave so soon? I
was expecting to wait for you much longer.”
