Chapter 1496 Reconciliation
In an instant, the feeling disappeared. It came and went quickly, leaving Ian with completely no sense of what it
was. Taking a deep breath, he spun on his heel and opened the door, only to see Aurora standing outside.
Given her age, she could tell what he was thinking about at a single glance. Striding into the house, she asked with a
smile, “What’s the matter? You looked so disappointed to see me outside. Were you waiting for Cindy to return?”
Without answering, he closed the door and looked down at the items in her hand. “Did you buy me food?”
“No,” she answered affably. “I made it at home and brought it here.”
As Aurora walked over to the dining table, she opened the lunch box in her hands and placed it on the table. “I’m
guessing you haven’t eaten. Come over here.”
Indeed, Ian was hungry and he had not felt like making lunch for himself. Following her over to the table, he sat

Upon hearing that, Aurora nodded and murmured, “I know. I have your agent’s number and she said she’ll notify
me.” Pulling out a chair and sitting down, she continued, “I assume Cindy will be going with you?”
Ian, however, didn’t immediately reply. During his conversation with the producers the other day, he was told that
they would be able to provide him with two crew members dedicated to keeping up with his filming.
Normally, under those circumstances, there would be no need for him to bring his own assistant. While his shooting
schedule was somewhat long and involved quite a few transitions where he would be in need of an assistant, the
production team would most likely have everything arranged for him.
Frowning, he told Aurora, “We’ll talk about it when the time comes.”
In public, Cindy was his girlfriend, so there was no way the filming wouldn’t be at least a little bit impacted if he
brought her along to the production site. Even if he didn’t read too much into it, the production team would no
doubt speculate on her identity. Who knew what kind of gossip would emerge when that time came? It was best
that he discussed things with Hannah before such matters were finalized.
Presently, Aurora nodded and said, “I have no issues with your relationship, but it’s best not to bring your girlfriend
along to the filming. I think that’s a sign of respect to the female lead as well.”
Ian nodded in agreement as it was something he had thought of as well. “I’ll discuss it with Hannah later.”
Under normal circumstances, when he didn’t need an assistant, Hannah would assign his assistants to other
performers. However, because of Cindy’s unique public identity, Hannah could not assign her to anyone else.
Thus, if Ian didn’t bring her along, Cindy would be left with a gap in her employment. While he didn’t mind this,
Hannah would likely have a different opinion.
Without saying anything further, Aurora simply watched Ian finish his lunch before she packed up the lunch box.
Thereafter, she went to tidy the kitchen while asking him, “Have you spoken to Cindy today? How is she now? Has

Since he didn’t feel like talking about it, he grunted before quickly changing the topic. “Are you busy this
afternoon?”
“No,” she replied with a sigh. “I’m all alone right now and have too much time to myself.”
After a moment of thought, Ian turned to look at her. “Well, let’s go out for a walk and some window shopping later
and have dinner outside.”
Startled, Aurora paused before glancing over her shoulder to smile at him. “Alright, then. I’ve never been out
window shopping with you. I’ve always felt envious whenever I saw mother-and-son duos strolling about having fun
and eating dinner together.” Her words made his heart ache a little.
After all, who between them hadn’t felt envious? While Ian acted contemptuously whenever he saw how Leah
treated Simon and Sally with the utmost care when he was young, he had burned with envy deep down.
Turning to go back to his room, he threw over his shoulder, “I’m going to rest for a bit. Help yourself to whatever
you need.”
Without responding, Aurora continued to tidy up the kitchen.
