Chapter 1518 The Key to a Person’s Heart
“You’re too kind, Mrs. Morgan. You don’t even know how many girls would fight to take care of him.” Naomi pouted.
Aurora chuckled at Naomi’s comment. “I don’t trust those girls because they have ulterior motives. Cindy is the
only one who I trust.”
Cindy turned and joked, “ If I remember correctly, you said that I wasn’t up to your standards.”
“When did I say that? I don’t remember that at all. I always thought you’re quite nice,” Aurora immediately refuted
and took a bite of her food before continuing, “Especially in the last two days, I began to realize how important you
are to Ian after seeing him all depressed when you were away.”
She then changed the topic. “Not only that, you really have a talent in cooking. To be honest with you, the dishes
here are not as tasty as the ones you made. When you were gone, I missed your fried eggplant so much that I tried
to make it yesterday, but it’s still not as good as yours.”

Aurora suddenly glanced at Cindy and spoke in a pretentious manner, “The key to a person’s heart is through their
stomach. This works for both men and women. I realized that you’re a nice person, so I try to see the good in you,
which is your cooking. Once I noticed it, it changed my mind about you. It’s that simple.”
That’s a weird way to put it, but it makes sense. I’ll give her that. Cindy nodded and turned to Ian. “What do you
think of my cooking?”
He was startled for a moment because he didn’t expect such a sudden question from her, so he answered without
much thought, “It’s quite delicious.”
“How’s your stomach then?” Cindy felt a random urge to make a joke.
Ian glared at her while his face grew serious.
“I’m just joking.” She quickly laughed. “Look at you being all flustered.”
Meanwhile, Naomi couldn’t catch what was happening between those two, so she laughed and played along with
the joke. “Why are you asking him about his stomach when he has already fallen for you?”
Aurora added, “She’s right. You guys are way past that stage now. Even my stomach has fallen in love with her
cooking, never mind Ian.”
Cindy smiled and nodded in agreement. “That’s true.”
After a while of silence, Naomi was suddenly curious to know how Cindy and Ian became together.
Her question didn’t seem too personal, so they couldn’t avoid it especially when Aurora was also curious to know
the answer.
However, Cindy didn’t dare to simply answer the question.
Since she didn’t know what Ian had told her mother before, she was afraid that she might blow their cover if her
answer didn’t end up aligning with what he had said before.

Therefore, she took a sip of water and smiled. “You should ask Ian instead. It’s a bit embarrassing for me to say it
out loud.”
“There’s nothing to be embarrassed about.” Naomi pouted her lips. “You two have been together for so long, but
why have I never heard anything about him from you since school?”
Cindy replied naturally, “I hadn’t graduated yet at that time and we didn’t know whether our relationship would last
long, so we just kept it to ourselves.” She then slowly added, “Actually, I never wanted to make our relationship
public, but since it was exposed a while back, I figured that we should just admit it and move on. Why should I be
ashamed of it?”
While he was next to her, Ian continued from where she left off. “My confession on the show was impulsive at that
time, so I never brought it up again because I was worried that many people would begin to look into her past. We
thought that everyone would slowly forget about it, but that doesn’t seem to be the case.”
He paused for a moment before gently grabbing her hand.
On the outside, it looked as though it was his way of apologizing to her.
