Chapter 1537 Recognized by Fans
Ian nodded, but he didn’t say anything.
Then, he and Cindy walked Naomi to the gate of their residence.
It was only after she saw Naomi enter a cab that Cindy finally heaved a sigh of relief. “This fellow is becoming more
difficult to deal with.”
He smiled. “You have a pretty good friend, though.”
“Yeah,” Cindy agreed, “but sometimes she is so nice that I don’t know how to handle it.”
Both of them turned to start walking back to their house. At the same time, two girls were walking toward them
from the opposite direction.
Both girls had beverages in their hands, as if they had been watching a basketball match at the court.
When they walked past Ian, they exclaimed, “Oh my!”
As the sky was now dark, he didn’t wear a mask or a cap when he came out this time.
Before they could even do anything, Ian already knew that they recognized him.
Sure enough, they paused for two seconds before they ran over to him. “You’re Ian! You’re Ian, right? You are living
Follow on NovᴇlEnglish.nᴇthere indeed! We guessed that you’re living around here since we last saw you playing basketball here.”
Both girls didn’t look like they were irrational fans. Even though they were excited, they didn’t do anything that was
out of line.
Hence, he nodded and greeted them.
However, they looked regretful. “We didn’t bring a pen and a paper when we came out. Otherwise, we would have
asked for your autograph.”
With that, they exchanged glances before they looked at Cindy and greeted her. “Hello.”
Cindy smiled. “Hi.”
Ian asked, “Do both of you live here?”
To be honest, he felt a little uncomfortable to be living in the same area as his fans.
Even though both girls looked like they were rational, he was worried that they would leak his whereabouts.
However, the girls shook their heads. “No, we don’t stay here. I’m just here to watch the guys play basketball. Some
of them are pretty handsome.”
Cindy was rather amused when she heard that. It seems like these two girls really like handsome men. No wonder
they are not fangirling over Ian. Half of their affections are probably given to handsome guys somewhere.
Ian hummed before he reminded them, “It’s getting late now, so it’s better for you girls to head home soon.”
Both girls smiled and waved to him. “You should have an early night too. Take care when you are filming television
programmes.”
Girls nowadays are quite thoughtful.
Cindy and Ian stood there and watched them leave before they turned around to walk home.
He said emotionally, “If only all fans were like them.”
If they are like these two girls, there won’t be so many troubles for me.
After a pause, she responded, “If they are all so rational, your company would be pissed off.”
After all, the company's targeted audience were the irrational fans. If all fans were rational, the celebrities wouldn’t
become famous.
Ian merely arched his eyebrow without saying another word.
After both of them arrived home, Cindy went to clean up while he went back to his room.
When she finally came out of the bathroom, the phone in her pocket rang.
She thought that it was Naomi calling to inform about her arrival at the hotel. However, when she looked at the
caller ID, she realized she was wrong.

Cindy shot a surprised glance at Ian’s room. The door was shut and he seemed like he was washing up as well.
She wondered what it was that would make Hannah directly call her.
Hence, she quickly returned to her room and answered the call.
It turned out that Hannah had called to ask her to participate with Ian as a couple in a reality television show.
A surprised Cindy asked, “Do I need to attend? I’m just an assistant, though.”
Hannah’s tone sounded as though she was smiling. “I know that you are his assistant, but the public doesn’t think
so. To them, you are his girlfriend. There’s nothing wrong for the both of you to participate in shows featuring
couples.”
At once, Cindy’s expression became serious. If she was being honest, she wasn’t a celebrity; even if she really was
Ian’s girlfriend, she wouldn’t need to participate in the show and reveal her face to the public.
When Hannah heard Cindy’s silence, she could guess Cindy’s thoughts. Hence, she persuaded, “You would also be
paid if you join the show. You are attached to Ian, so you won’t be getting as much as him. Even so, it would be
more than your current pay as his assistant. If your reputation is good, perhaps the company might be willing to
provide you with some other resources. This is something you would never get even if you work as his assistant for
a few more years.”
