Chapter 1604 We Won’t Be Home
“Sure,” Hannah replied. She didn’t notice the dejectedness in Ian’s voice at all. Their conversation came to an end
after that, and Ian flung his phone to the other end of the bed after ending the call. Next, he went to his wardrobe
to pack some clothes for his trip.
Ian had already made plans to meet Logan for a gathering a while ago, but they initially planned for it to happen
during one of the gaps between Ian’s filming dates. However, Ian decided that he would just meet up with Logan
now since he wasn’t sure when he was going to proceed with filming. Furthermore, he knew that he would spend all
his time thinking about needless things if he stayed home while in a bad mood.
Ian didn’t bring too many clothes, and he was done packing after a short while. He walked out to find Aurora
cleaning the kitchen, so he walked over and stood by the doorway. “Do you want to go back with me?”
Aurora froze as she didn’t understand what Ian meant. “What? Where?” she asked while turning her head.
Follow on NovᴇlEnglish.nᴇt“I’d like to pay Sean a visit,” Ian uttered after heaving a sigh.
Aurora was stunned for a moment, but she quickly understood what Ian meant. “You can go back on your own. I
don’t really feel like going since there isn’t anyone I’d like to see there,” she explained after a brief period of
hesitation.
Yet, Ian felt rather bad leaving his mother alone at home. “I have a place to stay there, and you can just walk
around the area. Perhaps you can meet up with Logan and his wife. I think that will be better if you stay here on
your own. You know Logan; his wife is a pretty nice lady,” Ian said.
However, Aurora shook her head again. “I don’t think I should go. You’re in the eye of the storm now, and I was the
one who caused you all this trouble. I’m sure other people will see us if we travel together, and I’m afraid that
might spark some other news articles,” Aurora explained.
Ian was never bothered by such matters from the start. “It doesn’t matter if they see us. We might even be in a
film together if we get the chance to do so in the future. More people will see us together then! What will you do in
the future if you already feel so self-conscious now? We can’t stay apart until we die, right?”
Aurora didn’t seem to have a good comeback after she heard Ian’s words. Hence, Ian quickly made a decision for
her. “Pack up. I’ll book us flights for tomorrow, and we can go back together. I’ll call Logan and let him know that
we’ll have dinner tonight.”
After sucking her lips inward and thinking for a long while, Aurora finally nodded. “Okay.”
Ian went back to his room later. On the other hand, Aurora headed to the living hall to clean up the area after she
was done with the kitchen. She had to do some cleaning since no one would be around at home for the next few
days. Once she was done with the living hall, she went to tidy Cindy’s room.
Cindy didn’t stay for long, so there weren’t a lot of things in the room. Additionally, Cindy had already cleaned up
most of the room. After standing beside the bed and hesitating for a while, Aurora pulled her phone out to send
Cindy a message. The message was a brief one. Aurora simply told Cindy that she and Ian would be away and that
the house would be empty. Also, Aurora mentioned that she didn’t know how long they would be gone and that
Follow on Novᴇl-Onlinᴇ.cᴏmCindy could ask the management for a key if she wanted to return to the house anytime soon. Previously, Cindy
had left the keys behind when she headed back to her own home.
After sending the text, it only took a while for Cindy to reply. ‘I got it,’ she texted. Cindy didn’t say anything else; she
didn’t ask where they would be going or what they would be doing. It felt almost like Cindy didn’t care about such
matters, and that made Aurora sigh. If they go on like this, it might really be tough for them to reconcile with each
other as time goes on.
…
Sophia woke up only when it was almost noon. She couldn’t help but curse while she washed up in the bathroom.
John is so shameless! He sneaked into my room last night and did some inappropriate stuff while I was half-awake.
How shameless of him!
She took her time to brush her teeth and freshen herself. Then, she saw John carrying the baby and standing
around in her room when she came out of the shower. “What are you doing here?” She glared at him grumpily.
He chuckled. “You enjoyed yourself last night, but it seems like you’re angry at me now, huh?”
Sophia couldn’t stop herself from spitting at him. John, however, didn’t seem bothered by how furious she was. He
lowered his head and planted a kiss on the baby’s cheek. “You must be hungry. I’ve heated all the dishes up. Go
downstairs to have a meal now. You must be really drained after last night.”
