Chapter 1731 Something Is Definitely Wrong
Aurora pouted, obviously not believing Cindy’s explanation.
Cindy shot a quick glance at her and saw the woman’s confused expression.
Hence, she deliberately asked, “Why? Are you uncomfortable that we’re now closer?”
Aurora merely snorted. “What are you talking about? Why would I be uncomfortable that you guys are much
closer? Of course I hope you guys can stay sweet forever.” With that, she pouted again. “I just think that you guys
are acting a bit weird. Not to mention, I have an eerie feeling about how close you guys have gotten.”
Then, she turned to walk out. “Something’s off. Something is definitely off. Both of you are definitely hiding
something from me. Just you wait—I’m sure I can catch the secret you have been hiding.”
Upon hearing that, Cindy laughed out loud because she did not believe that Aurora could find out what had
changed between Ian and her.
After all, only she and Ian knew the truth.
Follow on NovᴇlEnglish.nᴇtOnce Cindy had finished preparing the meal, both he and Aurora were already seated at the dining table and facing
each other.
Before she arrived, Cindy was sure that they were definitely engaged in a conversation.
It was because as soon as they saw her, they both straightened their postures immediately and averted their
glances.
She didn’t turn to immediately leave after she placed the food, but looked at them instead. “What did you guys
discuss in the group meeting earlier? Do let me know as well.”
Ian had a gentle expression. “My mom was asking why I am treating you so well and wondered whether I have any
hidden motives.”
Cindy turned to look at Aurora, whose gaze was on him. “Do you think you are good at hiding stuff? All your little
actions have already betrayed you. When we were sitting by the couch earlier, your gaze was fixated on Cindy—this
has never happened before. Something is really wrong with you today. Tell me the truth. What have you been
plotting?”
The moment she heard Aurora’s words, Cindy laughed out loud and scooted closer toward Aurora while
maintaining her glance. “Perhaps you can understand it this way—he has been smitten by my attractive features.”
However, Aurora merely glanced at her. “Nonsense. Your lies can only work on those who are not smart. I bet you
discussed something really important while I was away today.”
Ian merely shook his head in exasperation. “What do you want me to tell you? I really don’t have any tricks up my
sleeves. I just suddenly feel that she is a lovely girl who deserves care and attention from me.”
Cindy straightened her posture as she did not plan to continue the conversation any further. It was useless,
considering that there won’t be any result from the discussion anyway.
Hence, she told him, “Why are you still sitting here? Come over and help to take some dishes.”
Ian froze before she quickly stood up and followed her to the kitchen.
Meanwhile, Aurora was complaining again. “Did you see that? Did you see that?! He has never been so obedient
before. Apart from that, you would never instruct him in such a bossy tone in the past. Something is wrong between
both of you,” she shouted. “Something is definitely wrong!”
Follow on Novᴇl-Onlinᴇ.cᴏmCindy’s lips twitched upward, but she did not reply to the accusation. After she walked into the kitchen, she handed
the dishes over to Ian, but he did not pick them up.
Instead, he lifted his hand and pinched her chin as he directly kissed her.
She was shocked by his actions. Aurora was just sitting outside and she was quite a busybody. Who knows she might
even follow them to the kitchen?
Even though there was nothing wrong for a couple to kiss, it was still not that acceptable for other people to see
them.
Cindy did not dare to move and she could only punch his shoulders so that he would quickly release her.
Ian kissed her deeply again before he released her. Then, he said in a low voice, “The shier you are, the more I
want to bully you.”
She glared at him. “Shameless fellow.”
He took the dishes in her hand and turned around to walk out of the kitchen, leaving her to touch her own face at
the same spot. Oh, well. I’m blushing again.
Cindy had no idea what had gotten into Ian. It was as though something within him suddenly changed. He became
clingy and romantic toward her; on top of that, he easily said some cheesy romance lines without any hesitation.
