Chapter 1899 She’s Nothing Compared to You
Ian could sense that Gary didn’t really want to talk to him, so he wasn’t truly nice to him, and the two of them
ended the call after a while.
Right then, he gripped Cindy’s phone and turned toward the washroom to see that Cindy was still in the shower,
and it seemed like she might take a while. Immediately, he deleted Gary’s call log from Cindy’s phone history. He
reckoned there was no need for Cindy to know since they only had meaningless exchanges during the call.
Then, Ian placed Cindy’s phone back on the bed before he left the room and went back to the couch. Despite that,
he felt uncomfortable after that, especially when he thought of Cindy’s job.
Still, he couldn’t talk to Cindy about it since she didn’t know, so he could only keep it to himself. Unable to explain
his feelings, Ian suddenly thought of Yulia.
From another point of view, only Cindy could upset him more than anyone else ever could.
Follow on NovᴇlEnglish.nᴇtThere was only so much place in one’s heart, and if another were to enter, it might disrupt the relationship. Even if
the party in question was oblivious to what was happening, it was still enough for their partners to be upset.
After Ian had waited for a while, Cindy came out. While drying her hair, Cindy headed toward the kitchen and asked
calmly, as if she knew about everything already.
“Do you think I can compete with Yulia when I finally gain popularity in the designing field in the future?”
Ian’s gaze trailed after Cindy. “You don’t have to wait until next time to be better than her because she’s nothing
compared to you in my eyes.”
At this moment, Cindy glanced at Ian and said nothing despite the corners of her lips curling up.
Ian had a shoot afternoon the next day, so he only decided to head out at noon after clinging to Cindy at home for
the entire morning till noon. Before he went out, Cindy asked in a joking manner, “Do you think you’ll run into Yulia
today?”
Pausing, Ian turned around to look at Cindy before he felt like joining in the joke as well. “Let’s make a bet, then.”
Cindy raised her eyebrows. “And what would that be?”
Ian asked, “Are you betting on Yulia showing up or not?”
In Cindy’s opinion, she was sure Yulia would show up at his shoot again, so Ian betted against Yulia showing up.
Right then, Cindy crossed her arms before giving Ian a serious look. “What are we wagering on?”
Ian pondered for a moment. “What about an engagement?”
Surprised by what Ian suggested, Cindy asked, “What do you mean?”
Ian looked as if he had figured things out as he explained, “You’ll get engaged to me if I lose, and I’ll get engaged to
you if you lose.”
Immediately, Cindy, who initially had a normal expression on her face, was rendered speechless when she heard
Ian.
Although what he offered was beneficial to her, did he really think that she was a fool by taking such a detour?
“You fool.” Then, she reached out and pinched Ian’s waist while Ian pulled her into his embrace. “Are you betting

After contemplating for a moment, Cindy nodded before she put her arms around Ian’s waist. “Alright, alright. I’ll
bet on it. Still, it’s beneficial to me no matter how I look at it.”
Ian planted a kiss on Cindy’s forehead. “Are you sure that you’re taking advantage of me when I seem to be
winning?”
Then, the two of them cuddled for a little longer before heading out while the driver was already waiting
downstairs.
When they went down, the driver was leaning against the car door and smoking while staring at his phone.
However, he had a conflicted look on his face, and they couldn’t tell if it was a good thing or a bad thing.
When Cindy and Ian headed toward the car, the driver quickly placed his phone down. “Are you guys ready? We will
be leaving now.”
After getting in the car, Cindy fastened her seatbelt before asking, “Who are you talking to just now? Your
expression was really serious.”
The driver glanced at Cindy and Ian from the rearview mirror and answered hesitantly.
“I was just talking to some of the other celebrity drivers. Since all of us became acquaintances as we fetch you guys
every day, we created a group chat to talk to each other, and I was just joining in on the fun.”
