Chapter 2194 Let’s Have Lunch Together
Logan thought briefly and said, "Just inform him that I called. He'll know what happened when he checks the caller
history."
The driver immediately said yes, then told Logan that Ian's filming should be over soon and he would be back in a
bit. It wouldn't take more than a few minutes.
Logan wasn't in a hurry either. After hanging up, he waited around three minutes before Ian returned the call.
Of course, Ian knew what Logan's business was. As soon as the call went through, he asked, "Has Lola given birth
already? Is it a boy or a girl?"
Logan was already grinning before he even spoke. He had to suppress the brimming excitement in his voice as he
said, "It's a boy. Both Lola and the child are fine."
Ian let out a long sigh on the other end of the line. "That's good to hear. Your dad must be overjoyed."
Follow on NovᴇlEnglish.nᴇtThat was true. Logan hadn't called Old Mr. Jefferson to inform him yet, but if he knew, he would get extremely
emotional.
The Jeffersons never had many sons, and Old Mr. Jefferson was hoping to have another boy in the family.
Now that the child was finally born, Old Mr. Jefferson's wish was fulfilled as well. Logan turned to look at Lola, his
heart welling up in gratitude toward her.
Meanwhile, Cindy also received Sophia's message about Lola giving birth to her son.
Of course, Cindy was elated when she saw the message. She quickly replied and asked Sophia to congratulate the
new parents on her behalf.
Sophia's reply came in soon enough, telling Cindy that she and Ian should work hard too.
Cindy held her phone in her hands and thought for a long while, then decided to put it down. She couldn't think
about these things for now, and she always felt a little panicked whenever she did.
Frankly speaking, they weren't at the age where they had to rush, but she still felt desperate for some reason. She
felt like she should add 'getting pregnant' into her schedule as soon as possible.
But with her and Ian's current situation, it wasn't possible.
Cindy took some time to recover herself, then finished dealing with the order she received. She felt herself getting
better at designing orders, and she was getting used to it.
In the beginning, Serena only gave Cindy two orders as a trial. Seeing how Cindy had done quite well, she would
pass any leftover orders directly to Cindy no matter the task.
Once Cindy finished her drafts, she stood up and went to Serena's office, proceeding to place the drafts on the
latter's desk.
As soon as Cindy left Serena's office, she caught sight of Lucy.
Cindy hadn't been paying much attention, but she knew this wasn't part of Lucy's office area. Logically speaking,
Lucy wasn't supposed to be here during work hours.
However, since she had already spotted her, Cindy decided to go over and say hi.
Follow on Novᴇl-Onlinᴇ.cᴏmLucy wasn't holding any documents in her hands, so Cindy wasn't sure why she was there. Lucy paused and looked
at Cindy, asking, "Let's have lunch together. Do you have anything else going on today?"
Cindy knew that Lucy would find a chance to invite her again. It was impossible to decline Lucy forever, so Cindy
had to say yes eventually.
Cindy nodded. "I have time today, so let's have lunch at the cafeteria."
Lucy smiled. "I'll treat you to a meal outside. Why eat at the cafeteria when we can get something nicer
elsewhere?"
To be honest, Cindy had tried all sorts of delicacies before, so Lucy didn't need to treat her at all.
However, Cindy guessed that Lucy probably had something to talk to her about, and the cafeteria wasn't an
appropriate place for that. Thus, she nodded. "Sure."
Seeing that Cindy had agreed this time, Lucy seemed to be overjoyed. She told Cindy that she would be seeing the
latter at noon, then quickly went back to her office area.
Cindy stood in front of Serena's office for a while, then went back to her own.
She couldn't quite put it into words, but she no longer found Lucy annoying. She was even curious about what Lucy
wanted to say to her.
Lucy was too stubborn that Cindy felt she would appear arrogant if she kept declining the woman's offers.
