One of the girls, who was responsible for protecting Austin, stared at the young man and the gnome. She was dumbfounded to see

the two vanished into thin air from tto time.

Good thing we did that, ' she thought, somehow relieved at the seemingly blessing in disguise.

At that moment, a figure headed towards the girls and Austin at an amazing speed in mid-air.

Austin gazed up to find that it was Peacock Princess.

"Run!" she commanded her maids.

As she waved her hand, the strong wind blew their enemies away.

She had finally cto their rescue after inflicting numerous injuries to Marcus.

The girls leaped into the air and hurriedly followed Peacock Princess.

"Cwith us. The people of the Ji Family will not spare you," one of the girls who had promised to defend Austin shouted, looking

back at him.

Peacock Princess cast Austin a friendly glance, hinting that it was okay for him to flee with them.

So without hesitation, he and the gnfollowed the girls while fighting their way out.

Peacock Princess was an incredible cultivator, and her colorful feather--which used to be Peacock King's secret weapon--was very

powerful. The cultivators from the Ji Family couldn't stop her when she used it.

Moreover, she had reached the premium stage of Bitter Sea Realm, and with the colorful feather, she could even fight Divine

Bridge Realm masters.

Minutes later, without turning back, they had completely fled from the area.

"Con! Go get them.

Don't let that bitch get away,"

Marcus howled, basking in sheer rage.

He initially thought that he could defeat Peacock Princess and rise to fame.

But because she was raised and trained by a great master of the beast race--her father, she was able to reach the Bitter Sea

Realm. Eventually, she becone of the top cultivators among the young generation of the East Mainland.

On top of that, Marcus' father had lost to her father, Peacock King, and gotten seriously hurt.

If Marcus could prevail over Peacock Princess, he was convinced that he would becmore famous in the whole East Mainland.

However, things started to unexpectedly go downhill when he lost the fight and even sustained injuries. It was rather difficult for

narrow-minded and self-conceited people like him to accept it.

At this point, his anger knew no bounds, and all he wanted to do was take down that princess.

Suddenly, an enormous amount of energy rushed out from his body. It turned into a cold breeze and blew violently.

Enveloped in the black light circle, he utilized his bodily movement skill to its full extent to keep up his pace with Peacock Princess.

A large number of cultivators from the Ji Family stopped hitting the other beasts, and instead they went after Peacock Princess too.

Albert had already perceived, through his spiritual sense, the result of the fight between Peacock Princess and Marcus.

As Marcus' uncle, Albert had sided with the former chief of the Ji Family. He and the loyal followers of Marcus' father had enjoyed

less respect and prestige among the members of the Ji Family ever since the Marcus' father becbedridden after sustaining

severe injuries.

Over the years, they had been trying to encourage more strong young cultivators to join them and help get their honor back.

Marcus was their most important pawn.

If he were to becsuccessful, he would receive special treatment in their family. That way, Albert and those who had supported

Marcus along the way would also enjoy a great benefit and high status in the family.

However, that vision was immediately flushed down the drain as Marcus lost the battle.

"This damned bitch!" Albert snarled furiously.

The skeleton with black wings stretched its head back and roared.

Out of the blue, the black skeleton released a formidable chilly breeze that would undoubtedly make everyone quiver on the spot.

The wind blew towards the two old women from the beast race, forcing them to step back.

"You want to run away? Well, that's not gonna happen," Albert snorted with a stern look on his face.

In a blink of an eye, he disappeared in a flash.

Most of the members from the Ji Family who fought beside him were at the Emperor Realm or Bitter Sea Realm, and only a few

were Divine Bridge Realm masters. Since his crew couldn't rid themselves of other members from the beast race, he decided to

chase Peacock Princess himself.

"This is not good. Our princess is in danger," the two old women from the beast race uttered, their faces blanching as they looked

at the distance from where Albert had disappeared.

‘This elder in black is scary good. If he catches up with the princess, he will kill her in a heartbeat.’

The two of them turned into two beams of black light and followed the elder in black.

Meanwhile, Peacock Princess and her companions continued to move forward at full speed.

"Bitch, you can't escape from me!

| will torture you slowly and cruelly.

| can't believe that brat hooked up with you foul beasts even though he is a human. Once | find out his identity, | swear to god I'll

wipe out his relatives, friends, his fellows, and masters," Marcus murmured maliciously, brows furrowed as he glared at Austin.

Wrapped by the black flames, he quickly moved forward as the strong wind lifted his black hair. A vicious look was evident in his

face while he was on the verge of losing control.

He couldn't believe that he lost to Peacock Princess.

Albert appeared beside Marcus out of nowhere. Seeing the young man acting that way, he furrowed his eyebrows.

"Look at you. You even can't control your feelings just because of a small setback.

You're a disappointment," he snapped at Marcus.

Marcus calmed down instantly upon hearing Albert's tone.

"Uncle Albert, | was wrong. | should have controlled my emotions,"

Marcus responded, lowering his head in repentance.

"Humph! | won't let that bitch escape,"

Albert said coldly, narrowing his eyes at Peacock Princess and her companions in the distance.

"This is bad. My lady, that elder from the Ji Family is approaching us!

Run, my lady! We will stall him," the maid who had been assigned to protect Austin screamed as she had spotted Albert using her

spiritual sense.

Aware of what the elder was capable of, she couldn't help but be frightened for the Peacock Princess's life.

'We are clearly not matched to his caliber. He can put us down with just a single blow."

Suddenly, the maiden stopped on her tracks, intending to buy Peacock Princess stime.

"Run, my lady. We'll hold him off."

The other maids paused, too, and looked unitedly determined with their sacrifice.

"That's a bad idea. | can't leave you behind."

Peacock Princess stopped too, her face sternly serious, obviously not agreeing with the maidens’ plan.

"You two run as fast as you can. You have nothing to do with this,"

Peacock Princess said to Austin and the gnome.

"My lady, please just go, or your life will be in peril. You're a distinguished princess, and we're just your servants,"

the girls implored, hoping to persuade their princess.

'What are they doing? If they don't run right now, they will die, ' Austin thought, feeling speechless at the girls before him.

But even so, he was touched by their sisterhood. They did love and care for each other.

‘These girls have a golden heart."

A warm sensation fluctuated in Austin's heart as an idea suddenly occurred to him.

"Girls, | can help you get out of here," he said with conviction.

'What is he saying?’

Austin's words left the girls, including Peacock Princess, stunned. They looked at him with a puzzled look on their faces.

Several of the girls who had reached the Bitter Sea Realm didn't even think they could get rid of Albert. What more for a young

man with weaker cultivation?

'He is just a brat at the Semi-emperor Realm. Can he really help us shake off that elder?’ they all wondered.
