Austin's spiritual sense slowly crept towards the statue of the Sword Emperor which was right in front of him.
But the very instant that his spiritual sense touched the statue, he felt a strange magical energy fluctuation which rippled around the statue.
And then suddenly, thousands of colorful lights burst from the statue. They were like fireworks, both beautiful and magnificent. The entire statue was enveloped by the bright lights as if they were dancing all over it. They might look pretty, but each ray was in fact a thin streak of sword aura. These streaks were closely intertwined and created a brilliant light screen! Austin then felt that his spiritual sense was scattered by the colorful sword aura streaks like dust in the air. And he was unable to gather them together again as if the particles’ movements were restricted.
Despite of this, Austin was not worried at all. He felt that the streaks of sword aura were not a threat towards his spiritual sense.
His confidence stemmed from the fact that his spiritual sense was quite powerful. If he had been any other weak cultivator, his spiritual soul would have been destroyed the very moment his spiritual sense cinto contact with the streaks of sword aura.
Although Austin had sconfidence with his abilities which helped him survive the ordeal, he was still frightened and shocked by the streaks of sword aura dancing about.
Follow on NovᴇlEnglish.nᴇtHe intently studied the screen created by the thousands of streaks of sword aura which cloaked the entire statue. After making sure that the streaks of thin sword aura were harmless towards his spiritual sense, he then released it once more and carefully inched closer towards the statue.
And this time, Austin made sure to increase the power of his spiritual sense as compared to the first one he released.
After a few seconds, his spiritual sense finally broke through the screen made up of the streaks of sword aura, and successfully infiltrated the statue.
But out of the blue something unexpected happened! As soon as his spiritual sense penetrated the inner layer of the statue, a colorful flash dashed against his spiritual sense and was heading straight towards his mind in an unprecedented speed. It was obviously after his Soul Sea.
He was momentarily shocked and a wave of fear hit him hard, but he persistently gathered all his spiritual sense in a blink of an eye in his Soul Sea and formed a thick barricade in order to block the colorful flash from entering further.
But sadly, his effort was in vain.
The colorful flash broke through his Soul Sea as if his barricade was nothing but a piece of paper which was easily torn apart. It wasn't even enough to slow it down for a few minutes.
Numerous streaks of sword aura began flooding in his Soul Sea. He clearly felt his spiritual soul suffering wave after wave of slight prickles. It was a torturous feeling akin to being pricked by thousands of sharp needles over and over again.
He had previously compressed two streaks of Spiritual Sword Aura in his spiritual sense after he practiced the FlSwordsmanship. Those two streaks of Spiritual Sword Aura were converted into two shiny sharp swords which were as white as snow, and had stayed in his Soul Sea ever since.
But amidst the ongoing onslaught, the two snow-white swords were nowhere in sight. They were actually whining and cowering, as they stayed hidden in the corner. It seemed like the intruder was too powerful for them to handle, which explained why they were having cold feet.
Suddenly, the colorful flash transformed into a tiny man. He was no bigger than a man's thumb. Austin just then recognized the man. He was none other than the Sword Emperor himself. He had already passed away, but a shred of his spiritual sense remained because of his power and will, which then changed into a tiny version of himself! "Young man, don't be afraid. | won't hurt you because you were lucky enough to get the statue of the Sword Emperor which | left behind. Strictly speaking, you are to a certain extent my disciple." The tiny man tried his best to calm down Austin in a gentle but enthusiastic voice. He might have felt the fear and utter surprise emanating from Austin's spiritual soul.
"Well, the spiritual sense and the physical strength just barely meet my demands. But you are at the medium stage of Sky Realm.
Your vital energy realm is too low. In this PrMartial World, you are as weak as an ant.
But fortunately you are still young, and you still have a lot to learn. If you get good opportunities and practice hard enough, you will no doubt beca promising cultivator and you might just beceven more stronger than | was before." The Sword Emperor was able to scan and evaluate Austin's Soul Sea in a blink of an eye, and had a clear picture of Austin's power and abilities, which explains his frank but honest comments in front of Austin.
Follow on Novᴇl-Onlinᴇ.cᴏmAustin finally felt and understood that the statue of the Sword Emperor wouldn't hurt him. His nerves had been stretched to its breaking point moments ago. But now he was able to relax a bit and breathed a sigh of relief.
But upon hearing the honest assessment from the Sword Emperor, his fear was immediately replaced with embarrassment. The man saw through him so easily, as if he was looking through a transparent door.
His vital energy cultivation base was indeed at the medium stage of Sky Realm. He was very much aware that his cultivation base was too low in the Sword Emperor's eyes. Honestly speaking, he might be even weaker compared to the tiny ants.
"Sir..." In his Soul Sea, his spiritual soul transformed into a tiny Austin version and said to the Sword Emperor respectfully.
"Still callingsir, huh?" the Sword Emperor sarcastically said. Despite the fact that he looked kind and easy-going, Austin knew that behind the facade lurked an unseen but unbreakable suppression from him. He stared at Austin with a condescending and haughty look, as if he was nothing more than dirt beneath his feet.
Each pores in his skin released a streak of sword aura. All the lights coming from the streaks of sword aura shone, giving him a majestic glow all over his body. Under the cover of the brilliant layer of lights stood a regal emperor who was worshiped by his citizens.
Upon hearing and digesting the Sword Emperor's words and recalling the comments he had previously made, Austin finally realized that the Sword Emperor promised to take him as his disciple. "Master, please acceptas your disciple." He humbly spoke to the Sword Emperor as his spiritual soul bowed down to him.
"Ha-ha. Well, technically speaking, you are my disciple but only to an extent.
Within this statue, | have left behind slessons about swordsmanship and the three swordsmanship skills that | used to practice. You were able to receive it by chance. That only means you were destined to get the treasure | have left behind.
What you now see is but a wisp of my spiritual sense. | have already departed the PrMartial World for the outside world.
Now then, | will teach you the lessons about swordsmanship hidden in the statue. | hope you can study them carefully and teach it to other cultivators all over the world. | will certainly be glad if you can do so. Such knowledge must be shared and not kept to one's self.
