Fifteen minutes later, Austin found himself standing in front of a roll of mountains.
The earth in the surrounding area was red and the vegetation was sparse. He lifted up his gaze and looked around; his eyes were filled with the scenery of cliffs and rocky mountains.
Austin released his spiritual sense to scan the area even further. Soon, he found the Fire Stela's location within the mountain ranges.
It was located somewhere in the mountains, on a cliff that towered over a thousand meters into the sky.
In front of the cliff was an enormous platform where at least a thousand warriors were already waiting, clamouring.
Austin had dressed himself in the Appearance-transforming Clothes before he left the hotel room.
He currently appeared as the stout young man with big eyes and bushy eyebrows.
As he neared the cliff platform, he slowed his pace and walked sluggishly slow.
The platform was bustling with the huge crowd of warriors, talking and discussing. Sof them were standing, others were sitting on the ground; all of them were waiting for the appearance of the Fire Stela.
Most of these warriors were young men under thirty whose cultivation base was at the Imperial Realm or below.
Only a few of them were at the Master Realm.
Austin stepped onto the platform and took a seat.
Additional warriors were still on their way.
Observing the noisy crowd on the platform, Austin couldn't help letting out a deep sigh.
Even though the legend of the incomparable refining formula concealed in the Fire Stela had a possibility of being a fraud, thousands of young warriors still travelled to the place every five years, taking their chances.
The reason why they always persisted on coming back was because every warrior had a lifelong fascination with the vital energy refining formula.
Follow on NovᴇlEnglish.nᴇtMost often than not, it was superb refining formula-rather than talent or diligence-that determined a warrior's strength.
Many peerless warriors’ strengths were defined by their superb refining formulas.
Austin had no doubts about this principle.
He shifted his attention from the crowd towards the towering cliff before him.
It stood tall and upright. One could say that it looked as if a gigantic stone blade was cutting into the clouds.
In the center of the cliff, an engraving of a sun was etched onto the stone. The pattern was somewhat faded due to its old age and the passing of time; it could scarcely be discovered if people didn't pay close attention to it.
'Will the Fire Stela appear on this cliff?" Austin wondered.
The warriors continued discussing as they occasionally raised their heads to look at the cliff. . . . .
"Marsh! You came!" Two warriors approached Austin as he was observing the cliff.
"Ah. Nice to see you two," Austin said, getting up to greet them.
They were the two warriors he met in the Phoenix Tavern at Well Town.
"It seems like we were destined to cross paths with you again, Marsh.
Do you still remember us? Letintroduce ourselves again.
My nis Zack and this is Sawyer," Zack said, trying to start up a conversation.
Sawyer greeted Austin by cupping his fist with the other hand towards his chest in a salute.
"I'm Marsh," Austin replied, giving out the fabricated nhe used when they first met.
"By the way, | thought you said you wouldn't chere to grasp the Fire Stela?" he added.
"We weren't planning on coming here.
But then, we thought that since we've already travelled a great distance anyway, we should probably fulfil our wish of seeing the legendary Stela." It was Sawyer who answered.
"l see," Austin said as he gave a little nod.
"Come, let's sit and talk.
| think the Fire Stela will appear in less than an hour," Zack suggested.
The three of them found an empty space to sit on.
"By the way, Zack, will the Fire Stela appear from the cliff?" Austin asked.
"That's right. When the tcomes, the Fire Stela will appear right there," Zack said, pointing at the top of the cliff.
"Just wait for it." 'Zack had been here for many times, no wonder he's well-informed about it, ' Austin mused. . . . .
"Hey, look. Are they from the New Moon Sect?" Austin had been having a chat with Zack and Sawyer for about half an hour, when they suddenly started hearing murmuring from the other warriors.
Just as when they were about to ask what the commotion was about, they caught sight of an exquisitely colored sedan dash through the sky. Powerful spiritual energy was vibrating from it.
In the blink of an eye, the sedan was hovering directly above the platform, preparing to land.
A powerful shock wave of vital energy poured down from it and the young warriors directly underneath hurriedly scampered away, leaving a huge vacant space.
In the Heavenly Dragon Holy Kingdom, any warrior could recognize that the sedan was a symbol of the New Moon Sect, therefore nobody dared to stay around the sedan and block the New Moon Sect's way.
After the sedan had firmly landed on the ground, the curtains were drawn and two women stepped out.
Several audible gasps were heard from the warriors on the platform. Their heads rang with awe as they gazed at the two women.
They were like a flock of birds stretching out their necks to gawk at something that caught their eyes.
Follow on Novᴇl-Onlinᴇ.cᴏmA hush fell over the platform.
The two women were breathtakingly beautiful.
The first woman was in a green silk gown, her slender figure faintly visible through the fabric. Everything about her shone with vitality, like a budding flower in paradise. Her body gave off a hazy aura as she moved gracefully.
She was like a fairy living in the Moon Palace. She was so beautiful, holy, and pure that no man could dare to approach her.
The woman behind her was in a snow white gown and her skin the scolor of white jade. Holding an ancient harp in her arms, she was like a beauty in classic picture scrolls that cto life: a charming classical beauty.
"Isis!" Austin screamed inside his mind.
He recognized the maiden in white immediately.
She was the woman he fought at the Sunset Mountain. The Magic Harp Player, Isis, from the New Moon Sect.
During that fight, Austin had ripped her clothes into pieces and saw her in all her naked glory. .
He never expected to meet her again, especially here, in all places.
"My goodness, she's the Holy Daughter from the New Moon Sect, isn't she?" a warrior from the platform whispered in a voice loud enough to be heard by the others.
"Yeah, you're right. She is!" "I never expected that she would ever chere to read the Fire Stela," several warriors discussed in low voices.
The Holy Sons and Daughters from large sects were hardly seen in public because they were the heirs of the sect leaders.
It wasn't a surprise that all the ordinary warriors were excited upon seeing the two women.
The ordinary warriors in the Heavenly Dragon Holy Kingdom regarded the Holy Daughter of the New Moon Sect as their goddess due to her unrivaled beauty and otherworldly fairy-like disposition.
"So, the woman in green is the Holy Daughter from the New Moon Sect," Austin murmured to himself, overhearing the warriors’ discussion.
Isis looked around as she stepped out of the sedan, as if she was searching for something.
A look of disappointment washed over her face after she glanced over the warriors on the platform.
"Sister, | can't see any trace of Austin in here. Is it possible that Master Li was wrong?" Isis softly whispered to the Holy Daughter of the New Moon Sect.
