Mila remained silent as she watched Fenna.

Cole looked around and said, “Ms. Hoffis, where’s Lucas and the others?”

Mila pulled Cole outside the door. She lowered her voice and said, “I don’t know the details. We’ll have to wait for Nate to wake up before I can tell you, but Lucas betrayed us.”

Cole was shocked. He shouted in anguish and frustration, “That can’t be!”

Mila knew they were comrades, as close as brothers. She found it hard to accept such a fact.
