Chapter 4141
'That idiot, Oliver. I can't believe he needs a wheelchair now.'
Darryl's face seemed calm and as still as water.
Oliver was shocked when his eyes met Darryl's.
'Darryl? Shouldn't he be dead? Grunt should've killed him off already. Why is he still alive? And why is he with the fiend
race?' Oliver's mind drew a complete blank.
Even though Oliver was previously confined in a room next to Darryl's cell when he was first brought back by Morticia, he
had no idea Darryl was there as his door was shut the entire time.
"You're still alive? It can't be!"
Oliver finally snapped back to his senses as he looked straight into Darryl's eyes. He was still stunned.
Oliver thought he was delusional from losing too much blood as a fresh amputee.
Darryl looked at him with disdain. "That's right. I'm still alive. Are you surprised?" Darryl responded calmly.
Darryl used to be intolerant toward people who slandered him. He would lose his temper and lash out. However, after years
of experience with the life of cultivators, he had seen almost everything.
Follow on NovᴇlEnglish.nᴇtHe did not want to waste his energy on someone as despicable as Oliver.
"You-” Oliver had finally realized that he was not delusional. He wanted to say something,
but he was speechless.
Oliver turned to Morticia and said, "Honorable Fiend Martyr, that's Darryl Darby, the Nine
Heaven Sage. He's also the Nine Heaven Emperor's son-in- law. Kill him, kill him!’
Oliver got increasingly agitated as he felt rage seeped through his veins.
Oliver had lost Leia because of Darryl. He had also been banished from the Demon tribe
because of Darryl, and he had lost his legs to Mona because of him.
Darryl was the one to blame for Oliver's downfall. He would never let him off so easily.
Darryl chuckled calmly as he did not seem to care what Oliver had to say.
’Oliver!"
"That's enough." Morticia frowned unpleasantly.
She looked at Darryl and said, "I'm aware of your previous feud. But I hope you can put
those behind you since you're both working for me now."
What?
Oliver stood in stunned silence. 1
Darryl had taken refuge with Morticia?
Oliver was displeased. Morticia threw an icy glare at him before he could utter anything
and shut him up.
•Darryl!"
Morticia scanned Darryl from head to toe. "How're your injuries?"
"Much better," he responded.
Morticia nodded as she looked at her surroundings. "Well, time to talk business. The
Imperial Sky Palace now has three Innate Formations surrounding it. Archfiend Antigonus
still can't break through the formations, so we need to find the demons and use their
power to wear the formations down."
Morticia looked at Oliver and said, "Oliver, you're aware of the location of the demons' new
territory, right?"
Follow on Novᴇl-Onlinᴇ.cᴏm"Yes!"
Oliver nodded enthusiastically. "If you are willing to give me a chance, I'll lead everyone to the demons' new territory."
Morticia smiled pleasantly. "Good."
She ordered the rest of the fiend warriors, "Gather the troops now, let's head to the demons' new territory."
"Yes, Honorable Fiend Martyr!"
The ten or so warriors answered and prepared to gather more troops.
'Hold on!"
Darryl stood up; his face was a myriad of emotions. He said, "I don't think that is a good idea."
Darryl became anxious.
Oliver had become the demon race's traitor. Darryl's plan with the White Tiger King would go to waste if Oliver led the fiend
race warriors to the demons' territory. On top of that, the whole demon race would face a great disaster.
He had to find a way to stop it.
Whoosh!
Everyone in the camp looked at him as the air froze in tension.
