Chapter 4311
Darryl and Khloris were too focused on fighting each other that they had no idea someone else was heading toward them.
Under the moonlight, Sienna's beautiful and refined face glowed with a tinge of malice.
Sienna was shocked and excited when she heard movements from inside the room.
’Dart and Khloris got into a fight? That is awesome! I have to report back to Senior Brother.'
Sienna thought with a treacherous smile on her face as she disappeared into the darkness.
Inside the room, Darryl and Khloris were still fighting with each other.
Khloris got progressively anxious as they fought when she realized that Darryl was truly one of the highest-ranked warriors
in the Nine Mainland. He was heavily injured and weak just two days ago, yet he could recover to that state in such a short
amount of time.
Khloris was fretful the more she thought about it. She channeled all her internal energy and gathered the power in her right
palm before she charged toward Darryl.
Darryl was cornered and had no way to dodge. Without further hesitation, he reached his palm outward to counter Khloris'
attack as their palms clapped together.
Khloris was stunned as her body twitched. Was Darryl trying to channel his internal energy
as well? He had just recovered from his injuries— channeling his internal energy was not a
good idea. 1
Khloris bit her lips as she continued to channel her internal energy, fighting against
Darryl's.
Even though Darryl had recovered from his external wounds, Khloris thought his internal
energy had not fully recovered. 1
However, Khloris had only managed to hold it for two minutes. Her face was flushed as her
body shivered. She staggered a few steps backward as blood spurted from her mouth.
Khloris collapsed onto the ground, and her face was drained of blood.
Khloris stared at Darryl dead in his eyes, and she could not believe what had just
happened.
How could that be? He was heavily injured just two days ago. How could his internal
energy be fully healed in such a short amount of time?
Unbeknownst to Khloris, the power Darryl possessed was beyond the Nine Mainland. It
was a treasure that only appeared once every 5000 years in the Godly Region-the Red
Lotus Fayette. 1
The Red Lotus Fayette encompassed a pure innate spiritual power. Even though Darryl had
not fully combined with it yet, it was not something that Khloris could defeat.
Even though Darryl managed to stabilize his body and was not shaken by his own power,
his internal energy and blood were boiling and curdling. That was his first time summoning
the Red Lotus Fayette's power, and he could not manipulate it as he had not fully gained
control of it yet.
Darryl did not panic. He took a deep breath, walked toward Khloris, and asked kindly, "Are
you alright?"
"Stay there!"
Khloris stopped him from approaching her any further. She said in resentment, "Don't
come near me."
Khloris was still convinced that Darryl was there with ill intentions.
Darryl chuckled bitterly as he said, "Deputy Sect Master, I have no ill intentions. You're
hurt, and I'm just trying to help you up. Don't worry. I don't think about you in that way."
Follow on Novᴇl-Onlinᴇ.cᴏmDarryl walked up to Khloris and helped her up from the ground.
"Despicable animal!"
Khloris picked up the sword next to her and charged toward Darryl. The distance between them was too close, and Darryl
had let his defense down, rendering him unable to dodge the strike.
The sword penetrated Darryl's shoulder, and fresh blood splattered and seeped through his clothes.
Darryl held onto his wound as he stared blankly at Khloris, at a loss for words. ‘What a stubborn woman! Why can't she just
trust me for once? Is she really trying to kill me?'
Darryl staggered two steps backward and sat down on a chair as he said to Khloris, "What should I do for you to trust me?"
"Surrender your life!" Khloris said without hesitation.
"It really was a misunderstanding!"
'Shut your mouth. I truly regret not killing you two days ago and foolishly believed your words. Accepting you as my named
disciple is truly a reckless move.”
The sounds of footsteps came from outside the room.
The footsteps sounded rushed, and it sounded like many people were heading their way.
Darryl and Khloris looked at each other as they both stopped talking. None of them wanted to be seen by anyone in such a
situation.
