Chapter 1: ????? In the opulent, dimly lit private cinema, the most exclusive jewelery auction was broadcast live.
The rich cadence of the auctioneer's voice echoed through the room. "One million, one o'clock, two o'clock..." Alicia Bennett barely registered the words, her thoughts completely consumed by the man beneath her. His intensity overwhelmed her, driving her to sink her teeth into his shoulder in a desperate attempt to resist his onslaught.
The man merely grunted in response, not stopping or slowing.
"Ease up, will you?" he purred, his voice thick with tension as he squeezed her waist, ordering her body to submit to his will.
Alice, still biting his shoulder, hesitated. Slowly, her jaw unclenched and her teeth cloose. Just as the apology began to form on her lips, he let out a low, almost mocking laugh.
"That's not the part I asked you to ease up on." Alicia froze, heat rising to her cheeks. The apology died in her throat, replaced by a wave of shthat stained her skin crimson.
But the intensity between them only increased as tpassed, their bodies tangled in a battle of passion and control.
The auctioneer's hammer fell. "Sold for ten million! A round of applause for Mr. Joshua Yates!" The nhit Alice like a bolt of lightning. Her body instantly stiffened, something the man couldn't help but notice. Her movements stopped as her eyes, half-closed in satisfaction, lazily darted towards the screen. The camera focused on Joshua Yates' face, showing every detail of his familiar features in perfect clarity. "Joshua Yates, the second son of the Yates family... an acquaintance, perhaps?" he said, the corners of his lips curling into a sly smile as he playfully nibbled on Alicia's earlobe.
Alice frowned. The last thing she wanted to do was talk about it.

He laughed softly at her retort, the sound echoing across the space between them.
He didn't bother to deny it. Instead, he tightened his grip on her waist and his movements becmore relentless, his pace chaotic and unrestrained, as if challenging her.
The room seemed to pulse with their passionate desires, the air thick with lust, their ragged breaths merging into one. Together, they reached a breathless crescendo. When he was done, Alicia took advantage of the man being in the shower and quietly slipped away.
She pulled a stack of bills out of her purse and dropped them on the chair. Then, she made her way to the door, as silent as a mouse, wincing at the pain in her lower body.
When Caden Ward finally emerged from the bathroom, his gaze instantly fell on the neat stack of dollar bills waiting for him on the chair. His eyes blinked in amusement and a smile played at the corner of his lips.
He casually picked up a cigarette and lit it calmly before sitting back in his chair, his fingers fiddling with the crisp bills.
Moments later, his assistant, Hank Ford, burst into the room, clearly nervous. The faint, unmistakable scent of sex still hung in the air, making Hank's scalp prickle with discomfort.
"Er, apologies, Mr. Ward. I let my guard down. Givea moment and I'll have her brought in immediately." They had just returned to the camp, taking every precaution. And yet, a woman had managed to slip through the cracks of their security.
Caden exhaled a lazy stream of smoke, his features calm, almost indifferent.
"It wasn't necessary. I was... a voluntary participant." Hank's eyes snapped open.
Only then did she notice the faint red marks that decorated Caden's chest.
Hank's vision began to spin. In all the the had known Caden, the man had never slept with a woman, not even for a casual one-night stand. There were even rumors that Caden might suffer from ssecret ailment, which was why he had never been with a woman.
However, now, those rumors seemed to evaporate in the face of this unexpected turn of events.
Before Hank could make sense of it, Caden's deep voice brought him back to reality.
"I want you to look into Joshua's personal life. Have the report on my desk in half an hour." That night, Alice had stumbled into her room, feverish and desperate. It was obvious that she had been drugged.
And just like that, all his years of moderation and abstinence ccrashing down the moment he took her in his arms.
And then cthe revelation: Alicia was still a virgin.
Two years of marriage to Joshua... and they still haven't touched her? The memory of the previous night's passion stirred something in him, and his lips curved into a satisfied smile. The unexpected always intrigued him.
But as she thought about it, one thing becvery clear: Alicia had no idea who she had been with due to the effects of the drug.
Follow on Novᴇl-Onlinᴇ.cᴏmWhen Alice returned home, the first light of dawn was filtering through the windows.
Only then did he realize how long he had been gone. He paused at the door, screaming his teeth in frustration.
Even after being on the verge of collapse, he refused to let her go, as if his resistance had no end. Who was the client supposed to be? But before she could think about it any further, her phone range. It was her best friend, Monica Flynn. "Alice!" Monica practically shouted from the other end of the line, her voice loud with concern. "How are you now?" Alice exhaled deeply, carelessly kicking off her shoes. "I've been better," she murmured.
Monica's anger boiled over, her words sharp and unforgiving. "Joshua is a piece of shit! He's beyond disgusting. If he doesn't want to be married anymore, he should grow a spine and get a divorce already. What kind of sick man would conspire against his own wife?" The sharp pain of betrayal pierced Alice's chest.
Yesterday had been their second anniversary. Joshua had sent her a message suggesting they celebrate. Daring to hope he had changed, she had dressed the nines, only to be met with disappointment and a drugged drink that plunged her into a night of confusion and chaos. Was Joshua the mastermind behind it all? Swallowing the bitterness that was trying to surface, Alice forced herself to climb the stairs, her movements slow and tired.
"Okay, Monica. I'll take care of it."
Monica, ever the protective one, wasn't convinced. "I'll take care of it"? e of it"? What do you mean by that? Just say do you mean it and I'll be there in a jiffy. I'll even put on my sharpest heels, ready to kick him in the balls! Alice couldn't help but let out a small, tired smile, although her heart still felt oppressed.
Monica's tone suddenly changed, curiosity flashing in her voice. "But seriously, who was that guy you were with last night?" Alice froze mid-step, a bad feeling running down her spine. "Didn't you hire that male escort for me?" she asked uneasily.
"I called one," Monica replied, her voice suddenly serious. "But he never showed up. He textedthis morning saying he waited for you all night and didn't see you. So... who were you with?" Alice gasped as she realized.
Before he could respond, his bedroom door creaked open.
She looked up, and almost instantly her stomach dropped. There stood Joshua, fresh from the shower, a towel around the towel around his waist. His damp hair was sticking to his forehead as he stared at her, his voice low and menacing. "What companion?"
