Chapter 1112 I'm Here
Just as she was feeling anxious, the salesgirl suddenly grabbed Jenny's hand and wrote a
few words in her palm under her shocked gaze. When Jenny came out of the fitting room,
she had returned to normal.
However, those few words still flashed in her mind: "I'm here."
"Alec is here!’ Jenny cheered internally.
For a moment, she was so surprised she wasn't sure how to express her excited emotions.
Unfortunately, she couldn't exactly express herself at the moment. Not only that, she
couldn't show even a hint of abnormality.
"It's stunning." Evan's words rang in her ear, snapping her out of her daze.
She then smiled at him and said, ’Thank you.’
In the end, Evan bought that dress, along with the others he'd chosen for Jenny, and sent
them all to the island. The amount of clothing was enough for her to wear for many years.
Follow on NovᴇlEnglish.nᴇtIt seemed Evan had never thought carefully about how long Jenny would stay on the
island. To be more exact, he dared not think about it.
As they were done with their shopping, they went to a restaurant to eat. The air between
them was strange. It wasn't tense, as they didn't hurl hurtful words or remarks at each
other. But it wasn't accurate to say that things were pleasant between them, either.
Anyone could tell that they were not on the same page.
"How do you feel about this place, Jenny?’ Evan asked, a little nervous, as he wanted
Jenny to like it there.
Jenny ate her steak and smiled faintly. "It's pretty good but very different from our home
country in terms of customs and practices."
"Really? Then..." Evan put down his knife and fork and became serious. "If I ask you to
stay here from now on, will you?"
Jenny didn't want to broach this topic with him at first. After all, they were destined to not
be able to come to an agreement. But since Evan brought it up, she had no choice but to
make things clear to him.
"Sorry, I won't. Maybe it doesn't matter where you live, but it's different for me. I prefer to
live in Clusia because that's my country."
Evan smiled bitterly, not surprised by her answer. "I knew you wouldn't agree."
"Since you knew I wouldn't, when do you intend to send me back?” Jenny asked.
Their eyes met, and Evan was at a loss for words. ’In a while more."
Jenny chuckled. Wasn't that what he said before? She knew that Evan had no intention of
sending her back to Clusia but was just dragging her along, hoping one day she’d choose
to stay. Fortunately, she was prepared for this a long time ago, so she wasn't
disappointed. They didn't continue with the topic and silently ate their steaks as if nothing
had happened.
After dinner, the group got back on the private jet and returned to the island.
At the airport, Alec watched the jet plane disappear into the distance and took out his
tablet, which showed a small red dot moving away. He instructed someone to keep an eye

away from the outside, he would have to hijack the jet plane. Of course, his ideal plan was
to take her away while she was in the city, as the chances of success would be higher.
Back on the island, Olivia found out that Evan had taken Jenny out shopping without
inviting her, and she was going crazy in the castle.
"Evan!" Olivia saw the two of them return and rushed over angrily. "Why didn't you invite
me to go shopping?"
"Don’t you have something to do?" Evan replied coldly, keeping a distance from her and
even shielding Jenny behind him.
"If there's something to do, I can leave it to someone else. It's not like I have to deal with it
personally," Olivia retorted.
If she'd known that they were going shopping, she would have followed them no matter
what.
