The plane soon took off. Jenny shut her eyes and rested while Alec sat beside her, still giddy. He knew Jenny was

After some time, Jenny asked, "Aren't you curious about what happened between Graham and me?"

"Of course I am. I just didn't want to disturb you. You looked like you had a lot on your mind," Alec said with a smile.

"He doesn't want you involved with me, does he?" Alec could easily guess what had transpired between the father

and daughter.

Jenny huffed. “Who does he think he is, really? What right does he have to control what I do or who I see?"

Biological father or not, she didn't want to be restrained by him.

"I trust he means well, even if it doesn’t seem like it. You don't need to pit him against you that much/ Alec advised.

"No, no, of course not." Hell no! "All I'm saying is, maybe you two could talk about this more constructively. Or, I

Alec knew Graham disapproved of him being with Jenny because of their prior divorce. It had established the

impression that Alec was unreliable and untrustworthy. Besides, Jenny was recognized by the Walters as their own

now. Someone lesser like a Faust wouldn't make sense to be with Jenny.

Alec knew her temperament, so he didn't refute her. If she hadn't wanted to take a step further with him, she
