Chapter 588 Diligence

Jenny made it back to Walter Castle just in time for dinner. Graham had long reached home, sitting in the living

room with Rowena and Jolene.

They were chatting and laughing when Jenny went up to them.

"Hey, Dad." Jenny greeted Graham.

The man looked at her warmly. "You're back. Let's have dinner then."

He had Jenny sit by his side, and just like that, Jolene was instantly out of the picture. The young woman fumed

silently.

How could her father be so biased? They were both equally his daughters. Still, she kept her unhappiness to herself.

"Looks like this trip was worth it, Dad. You seem like you've bonded nicely with Jenny."

After everything that had happened, Jolene knew all she could do now was to be patient.

Graham agreed. He did grow closer to Jenny during the course of the trip.

Meanwhile, Jenny shot Jolene a curious look. Her half-sister seemed to have learned her lesson.

The family sat at the dining table, their food swiftly served. Graham cleared his throat. "Jenny, what do you think

about coming to work at the company? The training could do you some good."

He had just come up with the idea. After all, it was best Walter Inc got used to Jenny before he passed the mantle

on. Graham could also make sure Jenny was safe while under his care.

Jenny frowned at the suggestion. She wasn't even interested in managing her own company, so there was no way

she'd be interested in Walter Inc.

"I know you have no inclination toward it, but the business will be in your name one day. It's better to have you

familiar with the world now, no?” Graham continued, not bothering to hide the truth from Rowena or Jolene. Yes,

the business would be given to Jenny and only to her.

Jenny was about to refuse when her father added, "I'm not asking you to stay at the office every weekday. Just stick

around for the basics. Once you have the hang of things, I won't stop you if you wanna explore other avenues."

Graham would deal with whatever came next when it happened. For now, he'd focus on letting Jenny familiarize

herself with the business. She just might grow an interest in the business over time.

"Alright." Jenny relented in the end. It wouldn't be right to reject her father after he had just helped her. Plus, she'd

never hear the end of it if she declined the offer. It wasn't like she'd stay at Walter Inc for long anyway.

Graham beamed. "Great! I'll have them arrange something for you-"

"If I'm learning the ropes, I might as well start from the bottom," Jenny cut him off. "No one will respect me if you

put me in a high position from the start."

Graham stared at her in surprise. "You...really want to start from the bottom?"

"Mhm."

"Very well then!" Graham grinned happily. "Only my daughter would be so diligent!"

That was definitely the best step. Having the company employees see her climb her way up through hard work and

dedication would ensure their support when she took over one day.

Meanwhile, Jenny didn't have such plans. To her, learning from the bottom up was best to hammer in the basics. It

would help her manage her own business too. She had to prepare for the worst somehow, even if Jeneration Group

was running swimmingly with Alfred and Jade at the wheel.
