Chapter 659 My Business
"You're not collaborating with the Fausts; you're cooperating with me." Alec felt there was
a difference between the two. After all, the Fausts didn't belong to him yet.
Jenny raised her eyebrows in response, unsurprised by his reply. "Do you think you have
what it takes to strike up a deal with the Walters?"
In her opinion, Alec wasn't qualified enough to bargain for a collaboration with the Walters.
"You can consider it a kind of investment. After I take over the Fausts, our families will
naturally be able to collaborate better."
Upon hearing Jenny's words, Alec wasn't offended. He knew he wasn't qualified to work
with the Walter family yet, but by the time he could be on equal footing with them, he
might not necessarily want to associate with them either.
Jenny fell silent. Looking at Alec, who was right before her, she wondered where he got his
confidence.

the possibility that no matter how well you do, the family head still won't hand it over to
you?"
Jenny and Zeke Faust had only met once, but that one meeting was enough for her to
ascertain that the old man was no ordinary person.
'That's my business-"
"This isn't just your business. I want to make sure my investment will generate a return.
Nobody would voluntarily get into a failed investment," Jenny interrupted Alec.
He fell silent. After a while, he said, "With the support of the Walters and Watkins, I have a
great chance of securing victory."
"The Walters and Watkins are external forces. We can't openly support you. I need to know
the reason you're so confident." Deliberately showing support for Alec might put her
family at odds with Zeke. Therefore, before she was sure Alec would take over the Fausts,
the Walters wouldn't show support for him publicly.
Alec looked at her steadily and said calmly, "My confidence naturally stems from my
abilities. If the Fausts want to wear me out, they'll have to see if they can hold me down."
Evidently, Alec knew Zeke was testing his resolve and abilities. Since he dared to go to the
Fausts of Bardoff City, he must have something up his sleeve.
'All right. You have our support for the time being."
In fact, even if Alec didn't tell her all that, she would still agree to help him out. She just
wanted to talk to him more and find out what he was planning.
With the support of the Walters secured, Alec's tightly furrowed brows finally relaxed.
Soon, the waiter served the dishes, and they ate their meal in a reasonably harmonious
atmosphere.
"Last time, when you had dinner with Randy, was it to discuss a collaboration too?" Alec
asked casually.

Jenny nodded. "Yes, it was about that piece of land in the southern part of the city. Randy
approached Walter Inc all of a sudden. I felt something was off, so I came to check it out
today."
'Well, you're very cautious," Alec commented.
Jenny glanced at Alec, finding his behavior strange-it was as if he'd never met her. She'd
always been cautious, and Alec should be well aware of this trait of hers.
As they ate, Jenny couldn't help but ask, "The person who chased after you previously was
from the Fausts, right? Did you know?"
Alec nodded. It was because he knew that he had decided to return to the Fausts of
Bardoff City. Since someone was afraid of his return, he was all the more determined to go
back.
"During the time you were missing, did anything happen to you?" Jenny still didn't know
what exactly happened to Alec during his disappearance.
Alec raised his head to look at Jenny. While he could tell from Jenny's eyes that she was
genuinely concerned about him, he ultimately did not reveal that he'd lost his memory.
"Nothing happened. I happened to be saved by someone," he replied.
'That's good," Jenny responded. She then continued to eat without raising any more
questions.
