Chapter 678 You'll Never Get Away From Me
Paul didn't say anything. He had really thought that way before showing up. He felt he'd
treated Stephanie well enough. He could give her anything she wanted as long as she
didn't leave. But she was never satisfied and always thought about leaving.
Of course, he didn't like that. However, now that he saw Stephanie getting upset and
losing control of her emotions because of him, Paul realized that he might have affected
her adversely.
Paul asked tentatively, "What if...l mean, if I'm willing to marry you, would you-"
"No!" Stephanie interrupted him before he could finish speaking.
Paul's expression became as dark as thunderclouds, and he exuded a terrifying aura.
"What you cared about previously was that I wouldn't marry you and give you a legitimate
status, right? Now that I'm willing to, why are you refusing me?"
"Who do you think you are? Do you think everyone will wait for you right where they are
Follow on NovᴇlEnglish.nᴇtand beg for you to return as long as you make a slight change? "Stephanie laughed, but
her words were cold and sharp.
Stephanie wouldn't have been so angry if Paul had been willing to work toward this from
the beginning, even if they couldn't make their relationship public. However, he did none
of that in the beginning. He only said that he wouldn't make their relationship public and
wouldn't marry her because he thought she wasn't good enough for him.
Now that Stephanie had gotten away from him, his possessiveness began to take over,
and he wanted her back.
Who was he kidding? Stephanie wasn't someone who would be at his beck and call.
As her words were too harsh, Paul got so angry that he forgot his initial intention of
working out a compromise with her.
"You think too highly of yourself. Do you think you can escape from me just because you're
under Jenny's protection?" If Paul wanted someone, no one could stop him-not even the
Ten Elites would make him back down.
As soon as he said that, Stephanie knew he was going to make a move on her again. Her
expression became gloomy instantly. "Paul, why do you have to be like this? Can't we just
part ways nicely?"
"No! It's up to me whether we part ways or not." He stared at Stephanie brazenly.
"You just have to make things difficult, huh?" Stephanie didn't want to back down from him
anymore. She had seen through this vile man. Even if she relented today, he wouldn’t let
her go.
In that case, there was no need to compromise.
She stood up, her eyes cold as she looked at Paul. There wasn't a hint of love left in them
as she glared daggers at him. "In that case, I'll play with you till the end."
With that, Stephanie left, and Paul didn't go after her. He sat in his seat, sipping tea
leisurely, looking at ease. But he soon burst into a rage and flipped over the plates and
cutlery on the table.
He stared in the direction Stephanie had left, his gaze dark and sinister." You'll never get

On Sunday, James and Jolene's engagement banquet was held.
Both the Walters and the Windsors were among the Ten Elites of Bardoff City, so a
marriage between these two prominent families naturally attracted countless people. It
was a grand and lavish scene that hadn't been seen in Bardoff City for many years.
At the entrance of the Bardoff International Hotel, the Walters and the Windsors each
stood on either side to welcome the guests.
Though people kept coming over to Graham to congratulate him, deep inside, he felt an
array of emotions that he couldn't quite put into words. He looked at James, who was
standing across from him. From the beginning of the banquet until then, he remained
distant and unfriendly, his attitude toward Graham a far cry from before.
Although they didn't intend to cancel their collaboration, Graham knew in his heart that
after it ended, their relationship might become just as strained as the relationship
between the Walters and Glasses.
Graham had no one to blame but himself because it was his own selfishness that led to
this.
