Chapter 688 You Want Me to Support Him?
Listening to what Julian said, Jenny thought about the oppressive atmosphere in the Faust
family. It was no wonder Julian would have such thoughts.
She pondered for a moment, then smiled and said, "Since you're not interested in
inheriting the Faust family and your only goal is to prevent Xavier from inheriting
everything, why not consider supporting Alec? If he inherits the Faust family business and
assets, it won't affect you, right?"
Julian looked at her in shock. He blinked a few times, unable to believe what he'd just
heard. "You want me to support him?"
Jenny nodded.
"Have you really divorced Alec? It sure doesn't seem like it." Julian looked at Jenny
suspiciously. If they were divorced, Jenny shouldn't be helping Alec.
Jenny was speechless and rolled her eyes at him. "What's wrong with my suggestion?

"Although I'm not interested, that doesn't mean my dad or sister isn't. If they find out that
I intend to support Alec, they'll kill me," Julian said, knowing full well not everyone in his
family thought the same as him.
The Fausts were such an affluent family. Who wouldn't be tempted by the riches and
power that came with it? Even if Julian was naive, he knew it would be best for him if his
father or sister inherited the family.
Realizing that she couldn't persuade Julian to help Alec, Jenny felt it was a little
regrettable. She thought Julian looked naive and easy to sway, but he wasn't a total
airhead.
Following that, Jenny fell silent and didn't utter another word.
"Seriously? You're not going to talk to me anymore just because I won't help Alec?" Julian
asked upon noticing her dismissive look that she made no attempt to hide.
Jenny raised her head to look at him. "Alec and I aren't related in any way. The proposal
just now was out of consideration for you. Since you've made up your mind on what to do,
I naturally have nothing more to say."
"Out of consideration for me?" Julian thought very skeptically. They weren't exactly on
such close terms yet.
Just as he was about to say something to Jenny, Isabelle Faust walked toward them. "What
are you talking about with Miss Walter, Julian?"
"Isabelle," Julian greeted as he stood up. He showed his sister much respect. "We didn't
talk about much. It was just a few casual exchanges."
Isabelle nodded and looked at Jenny while extending her hand. "Hello, Miss Walter. I'm
Isabelle Faust."
"Hello." Jenny stood up and shook her hand.
Although Jenny didn't want to have too much contact with the Faust family, Isabelle was
nothing but courteous. As such, Jenny couldn't just ignore her.

Isabelle smiled and withdrew her hand. She said, a little apologetically," Please excuse
Julian; he's basically still a child. Please don't take it to heart if he said anything to offend
you."
"Isabelle, I’m not a child-"
"Be quiet. I'm talking to Miss Walter. Don't disrupt our conversation," Isabelle cut him off
right away, not giving him a chance to speak.
Julian pouted, looking pitifully at Jenny, hoping she would speak up for him.
Jenny caught his gaze and couldn't help but smile. "Miss Faust, you're worrying too much.
Julian is not that clueless."
"That's good, then." Isabelle nodded. I'll take him over to meet a few people first. I'll treat
you to a meal another day. I hope you won't deny me the pleasure by that time."
"No problem," Jenny replied.
Since Isabelle intentionally tried to be friendly, Jenny wouldn't refuse her. It was always
better to have more friends than enemies.
Julian didn’t want to go, as he had no interest in inheriting the family business and
naturally had no interest in socializing. However, Isabelle didn't give him a chance to
refuse. She dragged him away swiftly, and they disappeared from Jenny's sight.
