Chapter 691 So Effective?
"Do you not know Steph?" Jenny asked in disbelief. Even she couldn't believe what she
was saying, but Alec's response suggested that he had no idea who Stephanie was.
He quickly regained his composure and sneered, "Who is she? Why would I waste my time
to get to know her?"
"Alec, what's wrong with you? Steph is my best friend. You've met her before; you know
her. Why are you reacting like this now?" It seemed as if he'd never met Stephanie, and
Jenny couldn’t understand how the situation came to this.
Jenny's words made Alec realize that despite his investigation and reading up on
information related to them, there were still many missing pieces. Stephanie was a good
example right now. She had no connection with him, but they knew each other because of
Jenny, and they had met before. However, he had no memory of this person.
Not wanting Jenny to know about his amnesia, he tried to cover it up by saying

time on her?’
He didn't deny that he knew Stephanie, as it wasn't something he could deny. He put up a
front to show that he wasn't interested in her and didn't care about her affairs.
Jenny frowned, feeling something was off, but she couldn't put her finger on it right then.
Taking a deep breath, she temporarily suppressed her doubts and asked him, "If you're not
interested in her, why are you here? Could it be you're here because you care about me?"
"Of course not." Alec denied without hesitation, but after denying it, he was puzzled.
Why did he come? He had heard the receptionist talking on the phone and learned that
Jenny had called a doctor, so he followed along. But why? He didn't like Jenny, so whether
she had an accident or not had nothing to do with him.
Jenny looked at Alec suspiciously, as his reaction was too abnormal. "Are you sure your
psychological issues are really resolved?"
"Of course." Alec nodded and said, "Speaking of which, I have to thank you.
I have to say, the psychologist you introduced to me is very effective."
Jenny herself wouldn't have expected that the psychologist she introduced to Alec was
Blake. That day, Blake called him coincidentally, which led to him being rescued in time.
Speaking of which, he should actually thank Jenny.
"Is it really that effective?" Jenny couldn't help but feel uneasy about Alec's current state.
"Well, you can kind of say that I came because I was worried about you. After all, we are
business partners now. If something happened to you, wouldn't the information I give you
about the Glasses be wasted?"
Alec changed the topic and didn't continue discussing his psychological issues.
Hearing Alec's words, Jenny felt a mix of emotions. She felt a little unhappy about what he
said, but at the same time, she kind of expected it.
She and Alec were indeed merely business partners, and that was their only connection.
Without waiting for her to speak, Alec spoke up again, "Also, stay away from the rest of
the Fausts. Do you really think Julian is as innocent as he looks?"

Thinking back to how Jenny and Julian were chatting and laughing merrily earlier, Alec
didn't feel too thrilled.
Jenny hesitated for a moment, then realized that Alec had probably seen her talking to
Julian.
"Don't worry, Mr. Faust. I won't promise you one thing and do something else behind your
back. Since I promised to work with you, I won't collaborate with any other members of
the Faust family."
She thought Alec was worried that she would betray him, but this concern was
unnecessary. On top of that, Alec was being a bit unreasonable, considering that she was
mostly helping him despite chatting with Julian.
If it hadn't been for his sake, why would she bother suggesting to Julian that he should
help Alec in the first place?
She didn't plan to tell Alec about it-he wouldn't believe her anyway.
