Chapter 757 No Thanks
Alec didn't know what exactly was going through Jenny's head. However, her words didn’t
make him feel good.
"Blake and I—"
"Mr. Faust, I am not interested in your relationship with Miss Watkins." She didn't want to
know, afraid that she would feel worse. "Do you have anything else to say? If not, kindly
leave. I'm tired."
Alec originally wanted to explain that he and Blake were only in a business relationship.
However, Jenny's response forced him to retract his words.
"I came here for a reason," Alec said.
Jenny looked up at him, waves of emotions hitting her. Was he only visiting her because he
needed something from her?
"You know about my amnesia. I've seen doctors, and they said a blood clot in my brain is

continued, "No doctor in Bardoff City is willing to perform this surgery, so I contacted a
world-renowned neurosurgeon, and he recommended you to me."
The neurosurgeon in question was actually Jenny's mentor. When he learned that Jenny
was also in Bardoff City, he referred Alec to her for the surgery as he trusted his student's
abilities.
Having an inkling that the world-renowned neurosurgeon Alec had contacted was her
mentor, she wasn't surprised.
"So, you're here to ask me to perform the surgery for you?"
"Yes." Alec nodded.
"Hm, I guess you'll only come looking for me when you need something," she thought to
herself. She had thought that Alec felt guilty and had come with the sole purpose of
apologizing to her. She knew she shouldn't have kept her hopes up!
As if he knew she had misunderstood him, Alec quickly explained, "The main reason I
came was to see you. My surgery is just a side topic."
Jenny chuckled. Although she didn't say anything, Alec could tell she didn't believe him.
"I have no issues performing surgery for you, Mr. Faust, but are you really comfortable with
that? Aren't you afraid that I might do something during the surgery?"
Neurosurgery was extremely risky, especially for someone like Alec, who required a
craniotomy. Anything could easily go wrong.
Alec wasn't worried about this at all. "I trust you."
Jenny kept the smile on herself, thinking that while he trusted her, she did not trust him.
However, since her mentor had referred his case to her, Jenny couldn't refuse him. "I can
do it, but not right now."
"No rush. Let's wait until you recover." The truth was that he had come to check on Jenny.
However, he knew she wouldn't believe him, so he didn't say more.
Jenny nodded in agreement. "You can go now. Come find me when I'm discharged from the
hospital."

"Okay." Alec nodded, and before he left, he took out a file of information from his bag and
handed it to her. "These are the profiles of those mercenaries. They're well-known
internationally and are ruthless. They’ve never failed before. Their attempt on you failed
this time, but I don't think they'll give up so easily."
He didn't care why the Glasses brought them over; he was certain it was shady. However,
he was worried about Jenny, afraid she couldn't handle it.
"I know some very capable men here if you need them-"
"No thanks," Jenny cut him off.
It wasn't as if she was completely alone, with no one around. Why would she ask for Alec's
help?
If word about it spread, people would even think that she was interested in Alec. In the
past, it didn't matter. Things were different as he was in a relationship. The last thing she
needed was to be labeled as a homewrecker.
