Chapter 803 I'm Just Afraid I'll Disappoint You
The banquet was held half a month after Graham's discharge from the hospital. By then,
his body had mostly recovered, but he was far from his former self.
In the lounge of the banquet hall, Jenny donned a light blue, high-end custom-made dress
and left her long wavy hair styled loosely in a relaxed do. Although she was stunningly
beautiful, her expression didn't carry much joy. She knew the purpose of the banquet.
"Dad, you're still young and capable of running the company. There's no need to pass it on
to me now." She couldn't manage the company, and even if it was entrusted to her, it
would only be managed by other employees and professionals, which was meaningless.
Graham sat down beside her. He wasn't angry when he heard her say that." I'm getting
old. After this incident, I suddenly realized something...! used to think there was still a lot

accidents are always around the corner. So I don't want to wait any longer."
Now that he and Rowena were divorced, he wanted nothing but to find Jenny's mother. It
had always been on his mind, and Jenny knew it.
"I'm just afraid I'll disappoint you," Jenny said, feeling a great deal of pressure inheriting
Walter Inc as it was a huge company. Although she technically didn't have to manage it,
could she ignore it completely after taking over? Could she still have the freedom she has
now? The answer was no.
Graham stroked her head dotingly. "Don't worry, I have chosen some very capable people
for you. With them around, Walter Inc won't have any problems. Even if the company goes
bankrupt, the funds I have saved for you over the years are enough for you to spend for a
lifetime."
He didn't have much property under his name because he transferred all of it to Jenny's
name. Hence, Jenny was among the wealthiest of her peers in Bardoff City.
"Okay." Jenny nodded. She understood that there was no turning back at that point.
Noticing that she still seemed unhappy, Graham continued, 'Evan has been working at
Walter Inc for half a month now. He is a skilled worker, so you should be more at ease with
him around.’
Graham had given one of the departments of Walter Inc to Evan, partly to test his abilities
and partly to let him gain some experience. If he could win Jenny's heart and gain the
approval of everyone in Walter Inc, he could even become the general manager in the
future.
"Evan..." Thinking of Evan, Jenny felt even more annoyed.
Graham patted her head and said, "Don't think too much about it for now. Let nature take

"Okay."
Soon, the banquet hall was bustling with people, and almost the entire upper-class society
of Bardoff City had come to attend. Most people could guess the purpose of Graham's
banquet today, but they were all curious about why he suddenly made that decision. Was
his health failing? Many people had come to find out.
After all, if Graham was really in trouble, it was inevitable that people would start having
plans and ideas. Jenny had just taken over Walter Inc. How capable could she be?
Soon, Alec and Blake arrived at the venue. Alec carried a stoic expression that seemed to
say, "Strangers are not allowed to interact with me." Blake, on the other hand, stood next
to him with a smile on her face.
"Alec, cheer up. If you keep this up, people will think we have a big grudge against the
Walters," Blake said with a smile, pulling at his sleeve.
