Chapter 868 I Thought You Were More Capable Than This
Alec had already changed his clothes and selected his horse.
"Let's go." Luke trotted over on his ride, raising his eyebrows at Alec.
Alec smiled and got up the horse's back. They went toward the racing track not far off.
The race began quickly. There were quite a number of people watching them, curious to
know about their relationship with each other.
The media said that they were like fire and ice, but they didn't seem too bad.
Alec rode on his horse. Luke suddenly neared him and said in a not-so-soft voice, "Do you
know what day it is, Alec?"
Alec said nothing. Luke continued, "It's the day that you die."
Luke then whipped his horse so that his horse would surpass Alec's. He rushed toward the

Alec smiled lightly, not expressing too much emotion. He knew Luke was intentionally
provoking him, but he went over anyway. How could they have the chance to kill him if he
didn't?
The people around them watched them disappear into the mountains.
They were surprised. "Why did they run to the mountains? Has something happened?"
"Everybody, relax. The mountains are also part of the race tracks. Although the conditions
are worse, it’s very suitable for people who like to race," the employees explained.
The people said nothing more. They dispersed, no longer paying attention. Luke didn't go
very fast, as if he were purposefully waiting for Alec.
Alec had seen the map. He knew that Luke was riding in the direction of the cliff. So, they
were going to murder him there.
Not long after, Luke stopped a distance away from the cliff, glaring at him.
Alec slowed down as well and rode over. He smiled coldly. ’Why aren't you moving
forward?"
"I'm not going to accompany you anymore. You can go by yourself." Luke sneered. This
beat up trail was better suited for Alec alone.
Just as Alec guessed his next move, Luke raised an arm and signaled with his hand. At
once, something hit Alec's horse, and it reared wildly.
Alec turned back. A needle poked out of the horse's back. There was no telling what the
horse was injected with.
The horse ran forward in panic. It was going to run off the cliff.
Luke was grinning widely. 'You could have done anything you wanted, Alec, but you just
had to fight the Fausts. You pretty much lost your life the moment you did that."

cursing. However, he did not.
Instead, a smile appeared on Alec's lips. Luke rubbed his eyes, wondering if his eyes were
playing tricks on him.
The next second, right as the horse was about to go down the cliff, Alec jumped off the
horse and landed squarely on the ground. He only had a few inches to spare.
The smile on Luke's face froze. "You..."
"Is this all you've prepared? I thought you were more capable than this."
Didn't they know that he was pretty good at parkour?
A normal person would not have been able to recover, but Alec was well- trained. If he
couldn't get the horse to control itself, he could at least jump down from it.
Alec couldn't help wondering if it was Luke or Xavier who came up with this plan.
