Chapter 966 Together with Her
Alec took Jenny to the grocery store. They eventually decided to cook at home.
Of course, it was mainly Alec's decision, as Jenny was already tired and wanted to have a
quick meal and go home to rest. Alec insisted that she didn't need to do anything and just
needed to wait for the food, so Jenny reluctantly agreed to go with him to buy groceries.
"You're the mighty Mr. Faust, yet you're buying groceries yourself. This really damages
your reputation as a CEO," Jenny joked as she walked beside Alec, unable to resist teasing
him.
She looked at the man, who was six feet tall and dressed in a suit and tie, standing next to
her. It looked as if he was there to acquire the grocery store instead of something as banal
as buying groceries. He looked very out of place in the grocery store.
"You speak as if CEOs aren't human beings," Alec replied while selecting the vegetables.

our tasks to others."
If it weren’t for Jenny, he naturally wouldn't appear in such a place.
He could have his helper buy the vegetables if he wanted to cook, or if he didn't feel like
cooking, he could have asked
his chef to whip up a delicious meal for him. But for Jenny, he wanted to do these things
himself, and most importantly, he wanted to do them with her.
"Well, you do make some sense, Mr. Faust." Jenny didn't argue with him. Since Alec liked to
cook, she was happy to let him do it. After all, she just needed to wait, and food will be
served. She could simply sit back and enjoy herself.
Alec knew Jenny’s preferences well enough that he didn't need to ask her what she would
like to eat while buying the groceries. He just chose everything himself.
When they were about to leave, Jenny saw a pair of slippers for sale and pulled Alec over.
"I don't have suitable slippers for you at my house. Let's buy you a pair."
"Okay." Alec didn't refuse. Jenny's gesture of preparing these things meant she'd started
to accept his frequent visits to her house. He had no reason to refuse such a good gesture.
After buying slippers for Alec, Jenny wandered around the boutique shop.
As spring approached, the shop was full of fluffy and cute stuffed animals. Glancing at the
fuzzy and adorable stuffed toys, Jenny had a warm feeling in her heart.
When Alec saw her standing in front of a small red teddy bear for a long time, he took the
bear and said, "Do you like it? Just buy it if you do."
"I'm just taking a look." She liked stuffed animals but rarely bought them.
On the one hand, they weren't very practical; on the other hand, buying them made her
look kind of childish.
"Dr. Walter, you're an adult, and you have every right to buy the things you like,” Alec
said.

need to hesitate so much and should just buy whatever she liked.
The two went home after exiting the store. Jenny was very hungry by the time they came
home from the grocery store after work. "Can you give me a rough estimation of how long
it will take for the food to be done? I'm not sure if I can hold on anymore."
"Very soon," Alec said. Then, he walked toward the kitchen but didn't give her an exact
answer.
In the kitchen, Alec started washing the vegetables. Jenny walked in and said, "Let me
help you do the prepping. You'll be in charge of cooking."
She thought they would be able to eat earlier this way.
"Okay." Alec didn't refuse either.
The two of them quickly got busy. If one didn't know better, one would think they were a
couple who had been married for many years. They worked in perfect harmony, chatting
and laughing all the way, looking like a peaceful and happy couple.
