After getting out of the car, Emmett saw Clara hesitating, and he just reached out and

grabbed her wrist, “Let’s go

Clare looked up at his eyes!

For some reason, he always leht somewhat familiar to her.

Walking in with Emmell, Patrick was already waiting at the door!

Emmett nodded, glancing at Clara beside him, “This is Clar

Clars kept her head down, not daring to look around, ‘Hello, Mr Melendez

“You’re still addressing me so formally? Aren’t you already married to Emmett?”

Patrick chuckled softly, “Let’s talk inside then‘ Your mother is helping Aiden with his

homework, they’ll be out when it’s done!”

“My son managed to move you?” Patrick chuckled, “I thought he was too icy to chase

girls.”

“Ms Calloway said she wasn’t interested in you”

She felt even more embarrassed at this point!

She suddenly felt that she shouldn’t have come today!

“Um, Im suddenly feeling a little unwell, can I go to the restroom?” Clara just wanted to

find a place to cool down a bit.

Clara hurried off, but she didn’t actually go to the restroom. Instead, she found that this

road led straight to a small garden.

She sighed

“I just chill here for a bit!”

Otherwise, she would have to confront their interrogation upon her return! Those two

individuals were extremely intimidating! She had no clue about the nature of their

upcoming inquiries! Any question posed to her might inadvertently expose her true

identity.

Clara entered the garden and had just settled down when she overheard a conversation

amongst a few servants behind her

“Aiden seems to be in a rather foul mood today”

“Yes, he has been quite lethargic since his return. Perhaps it’s because… Mr Melendez

recently got married! To Aiden, that’s like having a stepmother!”

Another servant let out a sigh. “Aiden is such an adorable child Inever expected him to

endure such hardships! Rumor has it that he has never even laid eyes on his biological

mother! He was taken away immediately after birth!”

“Really? The Melendez family can be so merciless!”

“Shh! Keep your voice down, you want to lose your job?!”

Clara turned to look at the two of them, suddenly feeling a bit strange.
