Noah thought he would die since he found his consciousness slipping as his soul island continued to experience large cracks.
He gazed at the beauty of the phoenix and felt his heart palpitate with excitement.
Its feathers had to be the most fiery-looking color he had witnessed in the entirety of Cregar. They glistened in the sunlight expressing their beauty to the world, a beauty Noah couldn't get enough of.
The beast had an almost golden-red beak, and its sheer size looked capable of swallowing buildings whole.
The beast itself towered a staggering height of about 300m!
If one added its wing span to the mix, the beast would be capable of unearthing towns by merely flapping its wings.
The phoenix looked playful since it simply lay on the grounds of the plain and seemingly stared at the sky.
"Isn't she beautiful?" Riveta's voice reached Noah's fading consciousness, but her mental waves suddenly wrapped themselves on his figure fending off the pressure the beast released.
Noah regained clarity at that point, but his eyes couldn't leave the beast.
"You didn't tell me you had such a wonder living in your tower," Noah muttered.
Follow on NovᴇlEnglish.nᴇt"You never asked," Riveta giggled keeping her gaze on her pet.
"There's a reason I choose such wide environments, it's so she and the others don't get bored," Riveta explained putting shock on Noah's face, even if he couldn't reply sharply due to the pain he felt. It felt searing.
"How is it even possible to keep such huge beasts in this tower? She's literally taller than this building," Noah gasped at the sheer inbeliveability of that reality. "And you're telling me there's more of them."
"That's exactly what I'm saying. And besides all I require is expanded spaces, I can fit whole towns inside most of my storage rings," she explained when something floated towards Noah.
It was a literal shining green pill.
Its mere scent caused him to experience relief from the pain he felt, and before he knew it, he bit the pill and felt its effects reach his soul realm.
A wave of energy filled his mind at that point, and his soul island saw its cracks disappearing, and there was still a lot of remnant energy.
The pill's effects washed over his soul island many times, and Noah even saw it regaining some of its sturdiness.
His speed force kicked in at that point and stole the spotlight since his island suddenly lit up with the deep yellow radiance, and even more strength reached his mind.
"Thank you," Noah managed to squeeze out after escaping from the ecstasy the pill brought him. He was so glad that the soul realm unlike his body and core could allow external help. Even the pill wasn't exactly mana based. It was something refined just for the soul cores.
"You're welcome, young man. Ac it's my fault. I knew this would happen so I prepared the pill," Riveta explained keeping her eyes on Noah.
Noah had closed his eyes to allow the effects to sink in enough. Soon enough he reopened them and both experts gazed at the phoenix.
"What's her name?" Noah found himself asking.
"Stella," Riveta replied, a warm smile appearing on her face.
"Stella, huh," Noah muttered still gazing at the beautiful beast. He soon found himself smiling at her silly actions.
Her huge figure moved quite agilely across the plain, and each of her movements caused destruction to befall the area. The strong winds caused by her wing's movement reached even the tower, but it stood strong.
"Come," Riveta gestured at Noah at some point. She had floated out of the window and had her hand stretched toward Noah.
Hesitation appeared on Noah's face at the event, but he glanced at the phoenix and her hand, before heaving a sigh of helplessness. Like any other person in the world, he wanted a ride on the beast.
A giggle exited Riveta's lips when Noah took her hand, and he had to admit that the scene stunned him.
'Cute,' he couldn't help but say to himself when Riveta sped towards her pet, and in barely one second they reached her huge figure in the sky.
Stella voiced a cry of excitement at Riveta's appearance, and she immediately began to pat the phoenix's head as it had bent towards her.
Noah on the other hand had felt all the hair on his body stand at the cry. It had been loud. A powerful explosion in its own right, since even the ground below them, found a large portion of its structure disappearing.
Follow on Novᴇl-Onlinᴇ.cᴏm"Touch her," Riveta's words brought Noah out of his daze, and the Phoenix's golden eyes landed on him.
Noah could almost feel the pressure in its gaze, as the beast's eyes radiated curiosity at the extremely weak person before it.
Cautiously, Noah moved closer to the beast and tried to lay his hand on her beak.
"You shouldn't do that unless you want to get it bitten off," Riveta commented.
Noah retracted his hand faster than his shock could take place.
A nervous smile appeared on his face, and he chose a portion below its beak to place his hand on.
His gaze locked with the Phoenix's and they seemed to share a similar feeling. Pride.
Noah could feel the beast's feathers thrum with power, even if it hadn't done anything spectacular yet.
He felt no heat from its figure, but his instincts informed him that it could explode into flames before he knew it. However, he wasn't worried about such an event since Riveta stood close behind him.
"She's beautiful," Noah muttered at some point. The intelligence in the beast's eyes placed him in a daze. He could feel her breathing from the position he placed his palm, and it was so soft he felt he would fall into a meditative state on that spot.
"Yeah... you should stop now," Riveta commented at some point. "She's ready to explode on you," she pointed out, perplexing Noah since what he felt was completely distant to anger.
Noah blinked at that point, and he immediately realized what Riveta meant.
For some reason, Stella's eyes held hostility now that he looked at it again. Her gaze was so condescending that Noah knew it was only because Riveta was behind him that she hadn't gobbled him up.
